"Rebel take-over of the New Marathon Sector"

*The Victoria Factory District erupts in revolution, after years of preparation, the rebel leaders seem to have received support from some key figures, rumored to be in the administration of the colony. Erupting in the New Marathon Section, the revolution quickly exploded as rebels, taking British combat armors, overwhelmed their captors and swept into New Albion, where the Administration is housed. Not much information comes from inside the colony, but Russian observes report shelling on the third day of the revolution, as the guns of the British, used to defend the colony, turned on the revolutionaries. After 6 days of fighting, a mass wave of British security forces is reported to be escaping, a struck shuttle crashed in the agricultural settlements in the south with no survivors, while another landed in Clearwater city.
*Following the end of the revolution, New Glasgow is declared, with the Union Jack being burned and Saint Andrew's Cross erected in its stead, the revolutionaries send a message along the waves to any and all listeners, declaring their undying support for Constantine and Redwallace, their leaders and the foundation of a new state on Mars. In the meanwhile, the British security forces and administration have converged in Clearwater city, where they have pushed the local authorities to give them "safe haven". Promptly they have occupied two neighborhoods of the city and settled there, many fear they may coup the Clearwater Administration and claim the city.

*A shootout occurs in the slopes of Al-Jalil, a group of Palestinian fighters exchange fire with Jihadists, leaving 3 Jihadists dead, and two Palestinians wounded. The gurilla war has been intensifying for the last months, with heavy attacks of the Mujaheddin, lead by the Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Brigades. Many kibbutzim have responded by strengthening their defenses with the Israeli-Palestinian government planning to import more Bots form earth for combat operations.
*Sattelite fly-bys continue to search for the position of Neuvo Cumaná, but they are unable to find much, it is believed the camp is using a mixture of camouflage and anti-satellite masking techniques to avoid being seen. Shuttles are now rarely sent into the mountains, as the previous three operations have ended up being downed by anti-aircraft weapons presumably stolen by the rebels in the mountains.
*The new season of Duster Migrations comes and goes for the Outliers, for a few weeks, the dusters throw themselves at the defenses of the settlements, using vehicles, weapons and whatever one can think of to get as close as possible to the humans of the settlement and murder as much as them as possible. After a week and a seemingly endless pile of bodies on both sides, the dusters turn away and march into the desert. Their dust trail is seen for days, before it finally disappears on the other side of the horizon.
*A tense stand-off ends in the dunes between Yinghuo and Lake Värnen, a month ago, the Nordic force in Fort Värnen was deployed in haste with their shuttles to stop a supposed Chinese invasion of Heaven, only to find a large force of Chinese armed irregulars trekking through the dunes. After disarming the Chinese, the Nordic Peacekeepers took them to their Fort. However Yinghuo soon afterwords declared that those people are Chinese citizens and should be extradited to Chinese territory, i.e. Yinghuo. After some high level talks and a lot of threats on both sides, eventually the Nordic Peacekeepers release the irregulars.
*Relief missions have begun flooding into the outlying agricultural settlements north of Mahd ahd Dhahab, stricken by drought and hit by bandits, the people are struggling to bring their production back on track and have slowly been able to recover, being helped by the philanthropic Nightingales has helped immensely, as the activists are seen setting up medical stations, food and water banks, all done on private donations.
*Tensions between the New Bogong colony and the SpaceX HQ continue, as Australian colonists are captured in the territory of SpaceX. In response, the company has detained the Australians. This has recieved a massive outcry from both the Australian colonial authorities and the Australian government on earth. The Australia-SpaceX scandal has seen some major Australian investors in the SpaceX venture withdraw, hitting their shares negatively. |

*In maybe the only case in which the dominant powers on Mars could agree on something, China, the EU, Russia and the NAU have all condemned the East African Federation's Anga colony for their continued support for various Illegal settlements on the sparsely populated eastern coast. But the EAF defends its actions by claiming "Mars does not belong to the "quadrumvirate", it belongs to the people of the world", echoing the statements of many third world nations, who deny the viability of the "Four Power Treaty on Mars" which restricted colonization to the powers or groups associated/allowed by them.
*The north continues to be as unstable as always, with clashes within Unity City between the two main factions coming to light again, and battles between the Christians and Bandits recorded, not to mention shooting having been recorded in the vicinity of the Helios Plant. What draws attention though, is the intervention by the famed rangers when one of the agricultural villages is attacked by bandits, after a few minutes of desperate combat, the unmistakable "boats" of the Yarnus rangers appear in the sky, landing half a dozen soldiers behind bandit lines and striking in such ferocity and speed that most bandits throw their weapons and just run. While the organization is still far from supported by governments, it has received a lot of private donations via the internet, allowing it to survive.

*Mars is entering its weak transport season, as the system moves further away from the sun, prices of transporting both cargo and people back to earth are increased, this season is usually linked with a spike in smuggling, as certain low individuals are happy to transport goods for far better rates then the official ESA ones. The European declares a hard stance against corruption, but even with that experts agree that the expected high in smuggling won't be avoided this year.

*In New Europa, several bombs rip through a crowded square in the Athens district of the city, the terrorist attack leaves 2 dead and 5 in hospital. The New Golden Dawn party soon accepts responsibility for the attack, citing "increasing European meddling in Greek affairs" as the cause. This comes after the European Union was implicated in funding pro-government troops in the Greek civil war in its continued crack-down on the fascist/neo-nazi and Left-Wing forces. As the neo-nazi forces are increasingly loosing the war, they are increasingly resorting to terror, but since the split between "New" and "Original" Golden dawn forces, clashes in the small Greek quarters of Europa have been increasing.
*In the meanwhile protests by "Occupy Liberty One" movement are continuing, the anti-corporatist group still, however, failed to produce any sorts of a manifesto, outside of the requested removal of corporatism and lobbyism by the government. So far the protests are non-violent, but a few scuffles with police were recorded, where the Arcturus security personnel beat two protesters.
*Wienerwald opens up its first restaurant in Russian territory, what makes this more interesting is, not only is this the first European fast-food giant to open up its doors to Russian consumers, it is also done exclusively on Mars. The German fast food chain has drawn criticism for its expansion in space, after it became the first company to open a shop on the break-away Lunar colony of Horizon (taken over by the America First rebels and in virtual isolation from the rest of the universe, besides the small life-line between Horizon and the NAU).
