The Austro-Hungarian forces currently occupying the island of Jan Mayen are to immediately leave, on orders of the United States. Jan Mayen is the sovereign territory of the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway, and is leased to the United States. Cease your hostile occupation, or the US Navy will intervene to evict you.

The Russian Empire would urge caution and mediation. It is quite clear that this would appear to be a misunderstanding between international powers - and thus, should be dealt with as such, not as a provocation.

While the response of Austria remains to be seen, The Russian Empire is quite willing to act as mediator to this dispute - particularly as both the United States of America and the Austro-Hungarian Empire have been in agreement with us as regards formalising the laws of war and international disputes. This may prove an important case study, and we would hope to find the US and Austria happy for us to act as such.

Austria-Hungary respects the rights of the United States and will leave immediately.
