While it is well-known that Carolus Rex hasn't seen the halls of Stockholm Palace in years, Swedish courtly life hasn't stilled in his absence. The Palace, construction on which has presently halted, is located in the center of the city, near the seat of the Lutheran Church of Sweden, surrounded by several of the most important streets of Stockholm. While both the King and Riksdag have disapproved of several of the more grandiose developments, the building does not lack for elegance: housing both the Royal Chancery, frequented by the head of government Count Arvid Horn, and the Silvertronen of Queen Christina, wherein the Regent Ulrika Eleonora opens sessions of the Riksdag.
