Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt
Be thee welcome, to the Baroque Capital of the Germanies, and Court of the Great and Magnanimous Landsgrave Ernst Ludwig of Hesse-Darmstadt.

Repaired and refurbished at great expense by the Landsgrave after the terrible damage suffered in the past decades, Residenzschloss Darmstadt is the marvel of Rhineland, being an exquisite palace more suited to Kings and Emperors. It was designed by the Baroque architect Louis Remy de la Fosse and frequently hosts notable musicians such as Christoph Graupner.
And it well should, given the damned thing has just about driven Hesse-Darmstadt into bankruptcy...

Are YOU tired of YOUR peasants dying by the thousands over that piece of dirt that belongs to YOU?
Are YOU tired of the ever present wailing of mothers and wives?
If so, you might want to consider hiring a regiment of Hessians!
The Hessians make fantastic mercenaries whom are able to fill out your battle lines and fight for YOU... their new King and Country! They are a great way to make some other sod die for their King and Country too!
To hire Hessian Mercenaries the player in question pays Olligarchy/The Landsgraviate of Hesse 15 points per Unit. Once the hiring of Hessians has been approved, the Hessians are available for the players command the same turn.
The maximum number of possible Hessian Regiments equals the number of regiments that Hesse-Darmstadt has in Reserve.
