Although not a member of the Security Council, the Iraqi Republic would like to take this opportunity to thank the French for their stand against Zionist expansionism, and to condemn in the strongest possible terms this heinously illegal and outrageous annexation of Jordanian territory. We call upon all nations of the world to stand in solidarity against this blatant imperialism, which further flies directly in the face of the Security Council's own resolution on the matter mere months ago.

The United States votes yes, flagrant disregard for the Security Council and its enacted resolutions cannot be allowed to stand. We remain firmly committed to UNSC Resolution 242 and the principle that all peoples have an inherent right to self-determination.

John Malecela, Permanent Representative to the United Nations
United Republic of Tanzania
Like Iraq, Tanzania is not a member of the Security Council, but would also like to express our utmost concern at the egregious, unilateral, and frankly reprehensible violations of international law committed by the Israeli state. We applaud France and the United States -and, one hopes, the rest of the UNSC- in taking a stand against such outright aggression, convey our solidarity with the Palestinian people presently living under occupied rule despite the pledges of the international community to defend them, and urge the Israelis in no uncertain terms to return to following the United Nations Charter, for the sake of the integrity of a Jewish homeland and those wronged by their current actions.

Republic of China
The Republic of China votes yes on this resolution.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland is extremely concerned by Israeli actions. We believe their expansion is hurting any chance for a peaceful resolution to be found for the territorial crisis in the Middle East. We vote yes.
