As stated in its charter, one of the UN is "to achieve international co-operation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character." One way this is done is by sending aid packages to places in crisis. The United States would like to see the UN using these packages proactively.

We ask for a discussion by member states on where these aid packages should be sent to.

As a major supporter and contributor to the United Nations fund, Japan wholeheartedly supports this proposal. We would like to see some of these packages distributed to countries in need of help in the rebuilding of their nations in the aftermath of war - obviously we must also aid those currently facing difficulties, but we cannot forget those who have emerged from trying times and require assistance to shore up their hard won victories. In particular, we highlight the causes of Korea and Cambodia, who will benefit greatly from efforts to help their nations recover.

The United Nations is not an organisation designed to fund paramilitary and terrorist organisations engaged in open warfare with each other - least of all a civil war, and one that above all has been poorly managed by local and national authorities. Humanitarian aid to Northern Ireland might be appropriate, although we encourage the British government to make such aid and preparations as are required themselves.

Israel believes that these aid packages should be used to assist refugees fleeing the civil wars in Syria and Turkey. Perhaps the aid could go to sites in Jordan?

Sending an aid package to Jordan would be the best option, in our opinion. For Korea, there would be concern over whether the humanitarian aid the UN provides, such as clean water and food, would suffice in treating the problems of integration and decommunization . Cambodia could find use with an aid package, but it faces less need than the refugees in Jordan.

The People's Republic of China will endorse sending aid to Jordan, but under no circumstances supports aid being sent to the Republic of Korea until they seriously redress several underlying issues stemming from their unjust annexation of the north.
