Greetings, Anglo-Saxon friends. The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia sends its regards.

We would like to request that the British Government repatriate a series of Serbian artefacts of archaeological and historical value, currently held on British soil. In return, we will pay a symbolic sum, to... well, symbolize our friendship. We, as a member of the BCO, are and will always remain respectful of the British Empire, an empire that once did so much for the Serbian people in the past. Our nations have had diplomatic relations since the year 1837, and many proud Chetniks found refuge in the British Isles after the Bolshevik victory.


The items are, as follows:

• All archaeological artefacts from the Vinča-Belo Brdo site near Belgrade, including many figurines from the Neolithic Vinča Culture, currently held in several museums such as the Ashmolean Museum and the British Museum.

• The Christian prayer book of the medieval Serb hero Skanderbeg (Ђурьђ Кастриот), currently archived at the Shelley Publishing House in Chelsea, London, UK.

• Several Serbian medieval manuscripts, including Kalist's 1354 AD Tetraevangelion currently held at the British Museum.

Out of respect for the British educational system, we have restricted the list significantly - it could have been expanded, but we feel this is not in our mutual interest.

At the current moment we are sadden to say that we are unable to do this
as our population is in a moment of unrest across our great nation and any
addition to this major unrest no matter how small wouldn't help anyone at
all, while this is noted we will look into ways of returning these objects
[maybe a trade of sorts?] to the Serbian people, if you have any ideas on
this matter that would not add to the flux of our nation please bring them
up at once.
