Esteemed members of the General Assembly. As many of you may be aware, Pakistan's intelligence services have recently uncovered intrigues by the Indian Intelligence Bureau to incite armed revolt in the eastern wing of our nation. At a time when this organization is struggling to come together and unite humanity against a threat from the stars, such aggression is not only an injustice against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, but an insult to humanity.

Arrests have been made of those suspected of collaborating with the IIB, but while President Ayub Khan has expressed hope that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman can be reasoned with and that there can perhaps be a reconciliation of the conflict that gave power to this underhanded and dangerous plot by India, it is the opinion of this government that Indian espionage is a continued threat to peace within Pakistan.

In light of these facts, we propose the following resolution to this chamber:

The General Assembly

Recalling: that peace, or at least a cessation of hostilities, between the nations of Earth is crucial to our nations' self-defense against the threat of Alien invasion and Posadist insurrection.

Recognizing that efforts by India to destabilize Pakistan would constitute a violation of the principles this organization was founded on, and is contrary to he spirit of international law and diplomacy that laid the UN's foundations.

Admitting that it is both within the authority of this organization to request admittance of UN observers and a panel of inquiry to the border regions of eastern India and Pakistan, and that it is a small step to take for the sake of international peace and stability.

Calls for the following:

1)Repudiation of diplomatic, material, or military support for terrorism, separatism and/or armed revolt against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan by the Republic of India, and an immediate end to any such.

2) Permission by the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to deploy observers and a fact-finding mission to the relevant regions of both nations.

3)The deployment of such a mission by the UN, in an attempt to determine whether the Republic of India is currently engaged in hostile moves against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

4)A UN declaration that refusal to repudiate support for aforementioned elements acting against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a finding by the UN inquiry or observers that such is ongoing, or refusal by the Republic of India to admit said UN mission is an indication of guilt and grounds for UNGA sanctions against India so long as such support continues.

Pakistan, of course, grants permission for UN personnel to arrive on our side of the border between India and the eastern portion of Pakistan, and stands FOR this resolution. We thank our peers for their time, and sincerely hope that India will forsake covert action against our nation so that we may focus on national healing and contributing to humanity's fight against the extraterrestrial threat.

the UK would like to see evidence for this before making a vote

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan will gladly provide all available evidence from our intelligence services to the UNGA and to any subsequent fact-finding mission for the sake of our fellow members being able to cast a vote with all the information possible.

Since independence, the Republic of India has acted on a policy of unilateral aggression in regards to their claims on Pakistani territory. And yet our Pakistani brothers remain resolute in seeking a diplomatic solution to the unjust actions of India. Saudi Arabia votes yes, and pleads that India turn away from its hawkish policy in this hour of great need.

France has long considered itself a supporter of Pakistan, and we find the news of espionage by the Indian nation against Pakistan to be disheartening, especially in the current state of global crisis. As a result, we vote Yes to the proposed resolution

China votes in favour. Were this any other time, the people of Pakistan would be well justified in declaring war over this violation of their sovereignty and integrity. That they have shown such restrain is a credit to their cause, and to the seriousness of the dangers the people of Earth now face.

The Soviet Union abstains. The conflict between India and Pakistan is a complicated affair and bother sides have engaged in acts against each other. We call upon both sides to realize the greater threat humanity is facing and to put aside the local strife. We ask the Indian delegate to put forward their opinion of events.

We ask that the Pakistani delegate who do not blacken the decorum of this great assembly, in these times of crisis, with vague and baseless accusations. The "Agartala Conspiracy Case", legally filed as State vs. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and others, is a travesty. Neither the Home Department of Pakistan nor the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence have presented any coherent evidence pointing towards Indian subterfuge. This is nothing more than a plot to cripple the Awami League, a democratic movement whose Six Point Movement - promoting greater autonomy for East Pakistan - is seen as a threat to the Pakistani military dictatorship.

We vote against this motion, and ask that our friends in the Soviet Union reconsider their abstention. The Pakistanis have, according to our intelligence, been fomenting ethnic separatism in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir during the last few months. India, as a multi-ethnic and multi-religious federal state, opposes such measures just as much as - I am sure - the USSR does.




Iran has long been a friend of the Pakistani people, and we are very concerned with these developments. We support a fact-finding mission to the region, and vote in favour of this resolution.





As good friends of both Pakistan and India, this greatly concerns us. We vote in favour of sending observers to the region.




We abstain, as neutral parties to the Indo-Pakistani conflict, although our concern is significant due to historical Pakistani support for Islamic insurgents on Burmese territory.





We kindly ask the Pakistani envoys to check themselves before they wreck themselves. We vote against.





We abstain from this resolution. Please don't hurt us.





We vote against at the present time, until the Pakistani court system has time to process the case and reach a conclusion, and until we can witness further developments.

We assure the Republic of India that we haven't fomented ethnic separatism in Jammu and Kashmir- the Indian government is more than capable of doing that on its own, between their continued refusal to grant the people of the region the opportunity to approve or repudiate India's annexation of a majority Muslim state by the decree of the late Maharaja Hari Singh- an aristocratic relic of colonial rule -and by the manipulations of former Viceroy Louis Mountbatten- a man hostile to the very creation of a state that would allow the Muslims of the former British Raj to govern themselves -and the continued lack of representation allowed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir within the Indian state.

We, thank the international community and our neighboring nations for allowing the issue their consideration- whether their vote was in support or not. However, we offer the puppets of New Delhi in Nepal their own advice- India, whether with the aid of Louis Mountbatten's bias or their own power, has attempted to divide the subcontinent for its own benefit since before independence was finalized. Your nation's 'special friendship' with the Indians is merely a set of gilded shackles.

The United States votes in favor and expresses its profound disgust toward further Soviet-backed inter-human aggressions in the face of the Extra-terrestrial invasion of Earth.

At the present, it appears as if the majority of the East Bloc will abstain (and many of the Third World allies with them), will most Western nations and the Muslim world will vote in favour. If nothing significant changes, it is likely to pass during L1968.
