UNSC: Military Strike on Chile

Soviet satellite photography indicates that similar "pylons" as spotted in Argentina are being constructed in Chile, although none yet in Bolivia. Available data regarding ship that has landed in Santiago is being processed, but early photos indicate that it's a far smaller design and possibly a bit cruder than the massive, shining beacon of Extraterrestrial power in Buenos Aires.
Gentlemen of the security council, I bring forward the idea of launching a strike upon the alien creation in Chile? We do not yet know the role of these creation, but evidence suggest they may be responsible for the loss of power in our aircraft. Should we risk our air force and missiles launching a strike upon this entity?

Romania believes that it'd be wise to strike now while these Pylons are weakest. We may not win here but we will slow them down.

If there is to be a military strike against these pylons, we suggest that it be done from short- or medium-range batteries staged within Latin America. We firmly believe that we must restrict any response to the present theatre of the conflict, lest we open this invasion more dangerously beyond the limits of Latin America and encourage comparable response by the xeno-imperialist aggressors.

The UK wont be able to help at all due to the possible invasion of Hong Kong

Naturally the French government advises caution in this course of action, yet we agree that action must be taken. If commanders in the area deem such a strike to be feasible with the assets that they have on hand, or those assets can be deployed, then we will support such a strike. While there is the risk of retaliation, and of loss of life, we cannot remain on the defensive against the alien presence that has continually expanded. If we are to succeed then we must act, not merely react.

If the UN would like you can use the FIT island base [which has sort, median and long range missile bases] to launch these strikes, all we ask is that you agree to the ROA, are not the PRC and tell us what your bring [since you know the base is set up aready]

The DRC - while unable to vote - nonetheless commends the Soviet Union for this measure on two counts. Firstly, for sharing with the world a vital new piece of information. We are presently working on finalising xenological reports from the Pan-African Committee on Xenology, UFOlogy, and Spaceflight. Our hope is that the hypotheses shared African and human studies provide, will be of great use in the crusade to defend mankind's freedom. Those familiar with the debates regarding the size and nature of UFOs will know the fact that the second UFO over Chile may be a newer construction, could imply many things regarding the presence of the aliens.

Secondly, we commend the chance to take the initiative against the xeno. If a thief takes a man's cattle, what chief does not seek vengeance, even if he cannot yet regain the prize? We would urge the United Kingdom play at least a key role in the planning, given their own UAV test data. Caution is vital, yes; but so too is showing this alien sky-devil that they are not our chiefs.

To the DRC

Sadly we are unable to help with this strike as we face a possible war and invasion with UK citizens being held hostage. as stated earlier the UN is more than welcome to use the FIT island bases as a staging ground for these strikes since all the permeant requirements are already set up.

Yours Truly - The UK

To the PRC

The PRC is sadly no longer welcome anywhere with in the FIT's territorial waters or airspace, any incursion from the PRC into these spaces will be taken as a military threat and a act of war and will be destroyed, we regret that it has come to it but we are unwilling to risk our citizens and military men's life in a possible preventive strike. sadly besucse of this any ships, planes or other objects entering into the FIT's Territorial waters or air space that do not immediately identify them selves, the nation they come from and what they have on board will be treated as an enemy, with the needed steps taken to keep the FIT safe. The FIT and her bases will be kept on DEFCON 2 and on high alert until the China Crisis has past or a war has started.

Yours Truly - The rightful governing body of Hong Kong, the UK and Hong Kong goverment

We thank the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for their prompt reply to what was merely a suggestion; we hope, as all do, that the threats against Hong Kong cease and that peace will prevail, considering the fact that mankind is at the most dangerous time in his history. It is unfortunate that war should be threatened between two of the greatest nations of men, to the detriment of the united nations of Earth.

Perhaps, however, those involved in any UNSC strike - most likely the USA and USSR - would be able to assess British data gathered by the UAVs, on a strictly classified basis? If such a mission were to go ahead, it would be in all of our interests for it to succeed.

Indeed, at this point in time mere geography makes utilizing the Falklands Island base for strikes on Chile a bit of a long shot at best. Regardless it is not the place of the Security Council to dictate how these strikes will be implemented, merely to provide approval for action on the ground by those actors seeking to begin operations.

As such, we thank the Democratic Republic of the Congo for their input, even if they are not a member of this body at the present time

the FIT can fire off long range missiles that would be able to hit targets in Chile, on the UAV front there sadly is not much data right now on it other than the fact 49/50 of them where lost in action -

data so far -

"All but 1 of the UAVs appear to have been lost in action, sir.

The surviving one, a Canadair CL-89 that passed over Argentina before returning back, has just a short clip of film that is relevant at all. It is barely visible in a few of the shots, but it appears that strange, metallic towers of some sort are being constructed in southern Argentina."

so they still seem to be building them in the southern parts, currently we plan on investing a LOT into better UAVs [since it is possible that some just simply crashed while others where shot down] and will share data when they are ready.

If any major powers would like to sell UAVs and or other data that would be great since our UAVs are lagging about 10 years

The USSR will be launching an airstrike unless serious objections will be brought against us. May our children judge us kindly for this bold action in uncertain times.

we would suggest not using anything with humans on board due to issues we have had
