On Items
As for items, you may give yourself whatever you like, within reason. You can, for instance, say you have a nice sword. You cannot, however, say that you have a god-slaying fire sword with magic powers. That doesn't keep you from trying to convince people you have one, but you can't actually have one unless you happen to find one in the course of the game.
When in doubt, and common sense fails you, feel free to ask.
Positions
The following positions are considered important, and are guaranteed to exist. They are also suggestions for interesting games. You may apply for any role not on the list, but it is not guaranteed to be yours. Still, don't be afraid to ask if you'd like it.
Lord of House Daratan: Antidas (LordMoose)
Loremaster of House Daratan: Jerahmeel (acecipher)
Lord of House Aurelian:
Lord of House Crassus: Meru (Flamelord)
Dux of the Imperial Guard: Goku (lbj181)
Head of the Commercium: Zek (Red John)
Head of the Boatmen of Styx:
Head of the Forty Thieves:
Khan of the Ordu: Alaric the Butcher (Flaming Bolshevik)
Roles that are most desired are, in order, the lords of the three noble houses, the Dux of the Imperial Guards, and any of the heads of the three guilds. Note that, while these positions don't all NEED to be filled, at least some of the top four would be ideal for the game to run as best it can.
