Lei de proteção contra a fome Parte um

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I do think that while we all would agree that a man or women should only get what he or she earned, wither threw hard
labor or critical though, and that government handouts will lead people down the path of laziness dependence but that people who through
no fault of there own or threw unintended happening are so down on there luck that face starvation on a daily bases should
be helped by our glorious government so that they may better them selves and help grow our wonderful nation

The Objective -

To put into place a program that will allow people to buy government subsidized bundles of food that meets 20-40% of there
non calorie needs and up to 25% of there calorie needs. we feel that this will not only help out these people but also allow them
to spend more money on other goods while also being more productive, helping to repay the cost of this program.

We also request a report from the respective government offices the following info

- [an estimate] Of the number of citizens facing starvation

- The possible effectiveness of a program like this both economically and on starvation rates

- The possible cost of this program if the government offered enough food to help these people [100%, 20%, and 5%]

- Possible ways that this program's cost could be covered

- Where best to start the program

- What the resale value of these bundles should be for the maximum affect for the least cost
Lei de proteção contra a fome

Whereas - The people have a right to some protections from starvations due to poverty and that it is the government's job to protect these citizens

- That the government works on the details (once the data comes in) on a food subsidizes program for the urban and rural poor alike

- Once an agreement is reached for how much money is to be spent on this program and where that the government keeps the program going for at least one year unless conditions change majorly

- That none of the food is imported and that it is bough from famers with in our nation

- That the respective government office that would see the handout of something like this be given control over this program, and the creation of one if none exist

While we are happy to see that the PL is considering the needs of people in their assessment, we find their measure to be weak and insufficient, a starvation wage for a slow death through hunger rather than the true purpose of welfare.

We do not encourage our deputies to vote for this measure until it is strengthened significantly.

how would you see it strengthen? putting more money into it and having it cover more will only add to the growing cost for our government. as well as the fact we don't know how much it will affect the problem [data should be coming in soon]

I appreciate the goodwill that is being represented by the proposal of this bill, but to me it seems that this also would be a significant growth of government intervention into our economy, which we must b leery of for several reasons. No one can deny that the goals are not noble, but the means fall far short of what I would be willing to accept, and I believe the rest of my party would agree with me.

so you would rather see people starve rather than have more government intervention? I mean even the other opposition is supportive and wants MORE done.

how would you change this bill?

I have no desire to see people starve, but we must ensure that the policies used are effective and for the good of the nation as a whole.

Were it me, it seems the wisest choice would be to provide encouragements for businesses to employ more people. Thusly more people earn money, which they can then use to buy food. If that does not satisfy you though, we would suggest working through organizations already in place who provide charitable services, rather than extending government authority.

we would love to hear how you would suggest to increase employment, as well are you suggesting that the government make a donation to a charity to cover what this bill would do? why not skip the middle man and go straight to helping starving people? it would be much faster.

I'm only here to help the people, so if you can outline a way to help starving kids by all means tell us so we can save them before its too late

The PCB is greatly in support of all measures to help feed the working class, but would very much like to see more done. Perhaps our Social Democratic comrades can suggest something more radical?

This bill should either be amended, withdrawn, or moved to voting. Comments, anyone?

We agree that this bill should be withdrawn or moved to voting, where its lackluster support likely will see the same end result.

If this bill can indeed be considered as open... we will abstain, for now.

The bill is NOT open for voting. I do not believe this house has reached a consensus on the matter, thus I will give you all one more day to debate it and reacha conclusion. If nothing gets done I shall archive this bill.
