REPUBLIC OF FINLAND-SOVIET UNION TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP, 1936
1. The Republic of Finland and the Soviet Union will, with the signing of this agreement, reaffirm the Treaty of Tartu (1920) and all provisions that the aforementioned treaty contained.
2. The Soviet Union will, after conducting an investigation - to be completed by June 1st, 1937 at the latest - formally extradite all Finnish nationals who participated in the Pork Mutiny, to stand trial for the crimes committed.
3. The Soviet Union and the Republic of Finland will once again reaffirm the complete and total sovereignty and independence of the other party.
4. The Soviet Union and the Republic of Finland will both agree to relax border restrictions, with particular focus being given to the East Karelian Region.
5. The Soviet Union and the Republic of Finland will agree to a joint-investment project to expand port facilities in the port area of Petsamo.
6. The Soviet Union and the Republic of Finland will agree to reduce military deployments on the borders, in the spirit of peaceful cooperation.
7. The Soviet Union and the Republic of Finland shall promote increased commerce and trade between each party, to an appropriate level and keeping in line with the spirit of the agreement.
