Headlines

Each turn there will be some events which may be commented upon in the news. They will be posted in this thread, and the opportunity to write about them will last for that turn only. Writing in your national media about these Headlines will bestow certain specific benefits, and may also have wider global impacts. Sometimes I will give more than one option on what to write about, and if you wish, you may write on the two things and harvest double the benefits.
Participation is entirely optional, and players may utilise their national media for entirely different purposes if they wish, or only post about certain Headlines, or none at all. If you wish to write a headline, you may post it in your own personal Newspaper thread or in the Collective IC thread. It doesn't matter, as long as you clearly signal to me the specific post is a headline one.
There is also a catch: You can write the Headlines from different perspectives. Say you are leading a Republic with a Market Liberal government. While you certainly can write from the perspective of your government/ideology, you don't need to. As long as it is from someone within your nation, you're welcome to write on the event from any perspective you can. So back to the Market Lib example, you could write it from the perspective of a Syndicalist journalist, or a General with National Populist aspirations for example. You can write solely from your gov's perspective, but you are more than welcome to explore other points of view, and doing so will be looked favourably by me.
Instead of writing a more journalistic piece, you are also allowed to write a short story, centred around the headline, set in the KR world. Those will also be considered and looked on favourably by me.
