Zajímavé časy or Interesting Times is a city state simulation game set in a Czecho-Slavic inspired fantasy world about a bunch of people who are all trying to get what they want to get done... Each player is taking on the role of a notable individual within the city of Achát-Kámen, trying to guide events in their own favour, and perhaps even to the detriment of others.

Some short pointers.

Actions are essentially free form, but there are a limit to how many actions can be taken, as determined by action points assigned per turn. Action points cannot be banked. One turn is going to be three months (or one season). The goal is to have a game which anyone can play, from the casual RPer to the dedicated story-weaver. Minimal effort can be dedicated, as well as maximal.

What each player is given depends on the status and size of their faction. As the game progresses fortune and your own actions may toss more into your path, or take away what you already have. Pray to RNGesus.

At game start, there will be a post detailing the city, it's environs and the nature of various places and landmarks.

The game start itself takes the form of a pre-turn phase, the Grand Assembly, in which the players will meet in the Patricij's Palac in order to quarrel over the succession. During this phase, public voting will be mixed with some secret individual choices. After it has completed, a report of the events will follow, after which the game will be a more traditionally turn-based.
