The Republic of Indonesia requests admittance to the United Nations. We have liberated ourselves from the shackles of imperialism and have established a functioning government. Furthermore we request recognition from the nations of the world. As part of this recognition we require the timely removal of foreign soldiers from our territory. Currently British, Australian, and American soldiers occupy towns and even whole islands of our Archipelago. The principals of sovereignty dictate that you should vacate our territory.

The Soviet Union joins the Republic of China in recognizing the Republic of Indonesia and voting In Favor of their admission to to the UN. Likewise, we support Indonesia's call for the evacuation of foreign military personnel from their nation.
