Laurent Casanova, Ambassador to the United Nations
Commune of France
Delegates of the United Nations,
The new world is truly at hand. The stalwart masses of Madagascar, Cambodia, and Laos have struggled relentlessly in favor of the values of this assembly, for human rights and self-determination. Through their good work and the friendship of the international worker and peasant, they have won not just recognition from the government of France, but the Gaullist rebellion that once claimed them as part of their "Union". They are ready, not just in a sense of legality, but in the hearts of their people and government, to enter the world stage as equals.
France welcomes the arrival of our cousins and comrades! All Paris roars with approval and triumph at their victory, and the world sees the beacon of hope that is the formerly-colonial world in the darkness of Europe's chaos. We motion, in the name of the Channel Islands Accords, that Madagascar, Cambodia and Laos are welcomed into the UN.
