Commune of France
First and foremost, on behalf of the Commune of France and its resurgent masses, myself and the Popular Front for National Liberation as a whole salute the courage and ambition of the German Anti-Fascist Transitional Authority in so quickly acting to remove the stain of Hitlerite fascism both domestically and throughout Europe as a whole. A cursory knowledge of history would claim that there is a historical enmity between our nations, but true patriots on both sides feel only kinship in their hearts for the toilers on each side of the border. Truly, it could not be otherwise; for far too long, warmongering butchers have besmirched proud France and stalwart Germany, having thrown the proletariat time and again into the absurd wars of Capital.
This shared history runs deeper even still: the cowards of Weimar can accurately be described as having done little to overcome the injustices forced upon the common man and woman, marching in lockstep with the bourgeois saboteurs, rightist collaborationists, and Boulangists who drove a knife into the heart of Paris and opened the gates for the Republic's defeat. And yet, both France and Germany resisted. Even faced with horrors so deep, so horrific that we cannot yet calculate their cost without entering a realm of speculation, the anti-fascist partisans of Europe stood up under threat of torture and execution and declared
"Enough."
This "enough" shall be the battle cry on the lips of the defenders of France as we arrive to the aid of Germany whenever their people are in need. Even if, as it seems, the forces of Empire obstruct the just cause of liberty, equality, and universal brotherhood with war and subversion, France will fight to the last so that the German people will never again be dishonored by tyrants in their midst.
It follows that we will be sending a delegation under Comrade Albert Ouzoulias, our Acting Commander of the Red Army of France, to the Continental Conference of the Liberated Peoples of Europe. At the same time, we wish to send our fraternal regards and sincere optimism to the Romanian and Chinese people for their commitment to likewise attend. The world advances towards the last battle, that of the future of humanity, and Paris stands ready to lead our friends in the first charge.
Long live universal brotherhood between liberated peoples.
Long live the Commune.
