Games Rules

Post by Gesar »

Alright, we'll do a full rule post thing from the start, but figured to keep you abreast on stuff so that you can get started plotting.

-Turns will be divided in between Early (January-April), Mid (May-August), and Late (September-December). The first turn news will include some stuff from 1714. I won't penalize anybody for not knowing the exact weather conditions, but an awareness of these seasons might make a difference in the fields of war and wheat alike.

-As said in the Lloyd's thread, good RP will influence the RNG chance of actions related to it (especially if it's covert and you tell me about what's really happening), albeit not to a game-breaking point. Other RP stuff that will have an IC effect are newspapers/short stories/whatever you that are more internally-focused, as will following the diplomatic protocol of the era (although really any sort of diplomacy will keep your court happy.) As the rules will later state, wars were rarely one-sided affairs, and peaces even moreso.

-Accordingly, I encourage diplomacy both between players and myself, especially if you're feeling stuck for things to do. Be advised that my time is limited for these, and I reserve the right to say no or offer a blunt response.

-So on that note, feel free to set up your embassies and whatnot, maybe mention a few important people. Go wild, just remember that the stats and rules are very much WIP too - and that those important people have agendas of their own, of course.
