Hammer Industries Press Statement
The world as we know it has changed.

Ever since Tony Stark made his historic announcement, the world has been witness to a new era. Heroes, from the past and the present, rose from the shadows to defend us. What was once myth and fiction has become our reality.

Yet we must not forget that with these heroes came villains as well. It's a lesson that the world has been made quite aware of, due to the events in New York City. We were attacked, without provocation, by an alien force bent on nothing more than our conquest and enslavement. and through the heroic efforts of the Avengers, we were saved. Hammer Industries salutes the Avengers, as well as the brave men and women in uniform who evacuated civilians and defended their city so the leader of this invasion could be defeated.

But now has come time to rebuild, and to look to the future. We live in an age of heroes, and we must be prepared to accept that with heroes will come greater threats. Hammer Industries resolves tho give its full support to the rebuilding of the fair city to which it calls home. We will also continue to prepare for the new challenges that the world will undoubtedly face. This includes the creation of next generation technology and cutting edge tools, so our brave men and women can better defend all of us from whatever else might be lurking in the shadows.

I will now take questions.

Hammer Industries Press Conference
Yes, we would like to assure you that Hammer Industries is treating this situation with the concern that it deserves. We will be cooperating fully with the New York Police Department in order to track down those who are responsible and recover the items that they stole. The public should not have to live in fear of criminals with weapons that could do significant collateral damage if used improperly, and whoever did this will bee brought to justice.

We will also be instituting an internal review of our security procedures, to ensure that an incident like this does not happen again.

Next question?

Hammer Industries Technology Demonstration
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Department of Defense, I'm so glad you could be here today. I'm confident that what you are about to see will prove quite interesting.

We live in a changed world, as I'm sure you know. From the days of the Cold War, we have entered a new era of warfare. Where once we had legends like Captain America, now we live in a world of Iron Mongers and alien invasions. Where the power that an individual can wield greatly exceeds anything previously seen.

Now, that is not to say we are helpless. It would be foolish of us to disparage the patriotism and willingness of Colonel Rhodes to serve, both before and after he became War Machine. However, we must face the facts. The Iron Man suit is a sophisticated piece of technology, one very difficult to replicate. And as its creator has made quite clear, he does not feel a need to sell his technology. We were lucky to obtain the War Machine armor, but that is not something we can expect to repeat. That leaves us to pursue other options.

The Hammer Drone was one, as you will recall. However its software vulnerabilities left it vulnerable, and that line has since been discontinued. No, we need something better.

However, there is a middle ground between 'Iron Man' and 'nothing.'This was what Hammer Industries looked to, and after consulting with experts and our own engineers, I can say that we have hit upon what promises to be the next step for soldiers on the battlefield. May I present to you, the Hammer Industries Mark One Powered Exoskeleton Defense System. We call it the 'Scarab'.

Built on a general frame made of composite materials, the Scarab is a weapons system that can be outfitted with multiple weapons packages to meet the mission at hand. From guns, to rockets, to mortars, to knives. The suit enhances the ability of the user, granting them greater speed, strength, and making them a game changing force on the battlefield.

Beyond combat, the Scarab can also be outfitted for support operations, from transportation to Search and Rescue Operations. It is our hope to make an armor system with diverse utility that can serve the military in any situation that it is needed, and keep our brave men and women safe in the process.

And trust me, it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper than the F-35 too.

Now if you'll follow me, we have some demonstrations prepared so you can see how the Scarab performs in action...."

Hammer Industries Press Statement
In light of recent events, Hammer Industries would like to issue its formal and sincere condolences to Pepper Potts and the Stark Industries family. Our two companies may not have always seen eye to eye, but no one can deny that Tony Stark was a visionary and a hero. He will be missed

Some old timey exoskeleton design
Since its foundation, Hammer Industries has always strived to push the envelope of technological development, to stand at the forefront of innovation and provide the cutting edge technology that will serve the world as a whole. We have done our best to keep the brave men and women of America safe in their fight to protect our freedom. But we want to do more, and we can do more.

Recently Hammer Industries began production of the Scarab model Exoskeleton system. Drawing on the brightest minds, this Scarab was designed for use by soldiers in the field. It makes them faster, stronger, and better able to meet the challenges of the changing threats in the world. We are confident that it will meet all expectations, and become a valuable tool in the arsenal of our armed forces.

Yet we are not content to simply provide tools for the military when this technology has so many widespread applications. It can be used for medical purposes, assisting doctors with precision surgeries that would defy the ability of the human body to carry out. It can aid our wounded and disabled veterans in regaining their mobility returning them to the lives that they once had. We have also tested the paramedic applications, with exoskeletons allowing firefighters to brave intense temperatures and move through rubble to rescue trapped civilians. It allows first responders to better reach and care for patients at the scene of a disaster, and then transport them to the hospital.

It can also be used for construction purposes. With the assistance of the gentlemen over at Union Allied-Fisk Syndicate, our tests have shown that this exoskeleton can improve productivity, while also reducing workplace accidents. Men can move heavier loads, work with less fatigue, and it provides some protection against the dangers of your average worksite.

Given our observations, our engineers have been hard at work. Wee are proud to announce that in the coming months we will be unveiling a model of the Scarab designed for civilian use. Given the benefits of this technology, we believe that it should be shared with all. not bottled away in an ivory tower out of fear of misuse.

We will now accept questions....

Hammer Industries Press Statement
Hammer Industries would like to thank Tony Stark for his service to his country in stopping the despicable plot by Aldrich Killian which threatened to undermine the very democracy that we hold dear. It is fortunate that he was able to survive the assassination attempt against him, and put an end to this scheme before more people were hurt.

With people like him and Colonel Rhodes on the watch, America is in safe hands...

Hammer Industries Press Statement
"...We of course respect Mister Fisk's right to have an opinion, and we can fully agree with his proposals to strengthen the police force as well as provide clean energy for the city. These are admirable goals to better the lives of the people of this city, and we have always stood as a company that seeks to protect ordinary Americans from the dangers of this rapidly changing world.

However we would categorically deny that we are simply in the business of 'producing weapons'. While it is a large portion of our business, the work that we have done to help rebuild New York should not be overlooked. We are also proud to have provided significant employment for many New Yorkers, and I would think that the recent roll out of the Scarab for civilian industry would show that we are dedicated to helping the common people, and not just inciting conflict.

Of course this does not count as an official endorsement or denouncement of any candidate in the New York mayoral campaign at this time...."

A possible Anti-Satellite Weapon
"Controversy continues to swirl following the joint announcement by Hammer Industries, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin of the development of a new 'Planetary Defense System'. Though still in the planning stages, it has raised fierce criticisms from critics who question the effectiveness of such a system, the expansion of the military-industrial complex in recent years, the effect it would have on international relations.

A Hammer Industries spokesman had this to say: "We have undeniable proof that alien life exists, whether it be in the stars or other dimensions. While it is true that the Chitauri came through a portal, there is no guarantee that future visitors will do the same.We have to be prepared for any possibility...."

Details are still sparse at the moment, as the companies involved have maintained some level of secrecy around the project from the general public. They said that this is being done because of 'national security concerns', that they are unable to disclose at this time.

When asked about the damage this could do to international relations and the possibility of weaponization of space, a spokesman said, "I guarantee that Russia and China are already working on similar technologies. We cannot allow America to fall behind, and put our entire space infrastructure at risk from extraterrestrial or international threats...."

Hammer Industries Press Release
"....We at Hammer Industries understand the concerns expressed about our recent contracts with the government regarding our observation drones. We would remind the press that ultimately we are a producer of equipment. We cannot dictate how that equipment is used.

While this is the case, the Extremis Crisis, the terrorist attacks abroad, all of these show that our world is still a dangerous place. Surveillance is a necessary price to pay for security..."
