Turn 3/Turn 4 [I didn’t do 3 yet so this will be what happened in turn 3 and since events happen here 4s basic stuff will happen in in concurrence]
July Aug and Sep
Europe
Poland: Polish forces report the sounds of heavy fighting periodically behind the Russian Wall. Also lights all along the wall go out. Any remaining minor Russian Radio broadcasts die left only with the loop “Brotherhood, Strength and Fortitude in the face of the angry night.”
Deep Freeze: Europe gets cooler early, temps have dropped this year by 4 degrees faster than normal. Scientists think a periodic cold front has hit.
UED: UED forces have reorganized and moved to the Eastern front in preparation for exercises. A total of 40 divisions and 70 air squadrons.
Spain: Corruption charges are filed against numerous government officials as the country cracks down on corrupting members of the state.
Spain: National health services and medical facilities are modernized and improved as the state declares a need to prepare for the next “pandemic.”
US Navy: the US fleet in the sea stops reporting except a swift SOS broadcast. All it says is “Request aid from any vessels! We….”
Romania: Calls up its reservists and mobilizes.
Asia
China marches 20 Divisions more up to its boarder. Snow arrives early in the east.
Japan: The Navy marshals troops declaring a state of Emergency for reasons as yet unknown.
Japan: The Korean peninsula is a wash in Japanese troops as nearly a million men at arms, tanks, planes and navy forces prepare to defend from an as yet unknown threat.
Mongolia: The Chinese forces on the Mongolian frontier are found massacred, The government refuses to comment beyond the fact the unit is lost.
Americas
United States: Two fleets are deployed to the Alaskan front guarding against possible Russian incursions many think.
United States: US pens a deal to sell weapons and equipment to the British military. This “lend Lease” act is met with mixed reactions. Former president Roosevelt who now rarely speaks to the press called it a “duty of our democratic republic, and something me and President Grace it seems CAN agree on.”
Oct – Dec 1949 [any actions this turn will assume to be before the invasion]
December Europe
INVASION!: Russian Wall is broken!
Europe: In a nightmare scenario early December Poland gets attacked, frantic radio calls for help cry out. Romania also is struck as are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Northern states fall in weeks, Polands forces along with the few allied units who had arrived already fall silent or retreat within days from fortified lines. Many crying out about monsters! The first German Panzer Divisions arrive in mid December and engage the new enemy, at first they make progress but are lost when some strange machines giant walkers attack. British planes attempt to help but are swatted from the skies. Romanian forces are ran into from the sea and land losing ground swiftly and moving to try and hold key territory in the mountains. From the troops who are interviewed the enemy has many names. In Russian they are the Angry Night, to the Italians they are the Deathless Plague. But above all one name sticks, Chimera. Static defenses seem worthless against this rapidly advancing foe. Positions quickly overrun or tales of worse leak out. The enemy slows down once they reach Warsaw, after several days it is overrun. What Is scariest perhaps is of a city of 2 million people…only 2,000 refugees escape. War has come to Europe.

Polish forces make desperate stands trying to shield cities.

German Tanks engage enemy armor
Asia: Northern points of interest are fired bombed by China but the enemy breaks past in two weeks pushing south. Japans forces get pushed from the north rapidly as the Japanese struggle to hold further rearward defense lines. Asian forces struggle to strike back against enemy positions but find themselves halted in many attempts. A Asian Pacific alliance is hastily formed to share knowledge, resources and jointly fight against the new threat.
