I'd agree with extending it, tomorrow (i.e today, Saturday) is the only free day I've got to even do any writeups and diplomacy, let alone the turn and organising the international expedition to China. :p

TRC sent me a turn but hasn't yet responded to the forum about Crete. Any suggestions on how I should handle this?

I'm sure he's seen the thread, as ive seen him looking at that part of the site. If he doesn't respond by wendsday, id chalk it up to 'no comment' by the ottomans, and go with whatever that implies.

Makes sense.

Or you guys could recognise he's in the Army and has very little time to actually talk or post and not be dicks about the whole situation.

I thought the Smyg incident already resolved this, and we were going with the previously established policy of "1898 is the most important thing in anybody's miserable life why does nobody care about the gaaaaame"

People miss turns all the time due to a variety of reasons. In this case it looks like a country will be invaded due to the missing turn. Would it be overstepping my gming abilities if I had the Ottomans agree to something like they did historically?

So I think there is a bit of over reaction here... TRC is busy, yes, and that's fine, everybody is at some point. I don't think anyone is insisting on punishment, we are all (technically) adults, hah.

I'd say it would be overstepping them a good bit - so long as he's still signed up, he can't be taken over by the GM, or that'd be him effectively an NPC. Otherwise it gets all kinds of messy over what the GM can or can't do. Given time, I'm sure he'll respond, and as stated, noone is pressing the matter too urgently as we all know he's busy IRL.

Has anyone PMed him and asked directly? I've found he's usually pretty good at responding to PMs within a few days.
