Re: [CHAMBER]Infrastructure Rejuvenation Bill

Post by Flamelord »

We thank Governor Vargas for his contribution to this debate, and we are open to his concerns. perhaps the worry over corruption is a bit unfounded at this time, as it is based on the assumption that the federal government is the only body afflicted by that particular problem.

Obviously we believe that it is not necessary to designate where the credits to repair the damage will go, since we are all aware of where the fighting in the civil war took place. We also agree with what was proposed by the last speaker. Federal funds should be used, but we should perhaps not be too hasty to eliminate the possibility of assistance by the governors. If they are willing to contribute to this effort then we believe that it could be accommodated within this bill, but we believe the primary effort should b by the federal government.

In addressing where government funds should be applied for the expansion of infrastructure as proposed by this bill, we think it best to leave it to the discretion of the Ministry of Transportation and Public Work to decide where funds would be best applied and delegate them accordingly. That is their particular area of interest, and it ensures that Congress does not appear to be giving preferential treatment to any couple states. We look forward to hearing what others have to say on the matter

As the purpose of this bill has been addressed by Presidential action, we respectfully ask that this bill either be reorientated to focus on developing new industry, or shelved if that would be too drastic a change for the original creator

We support these wise words of the PUF. Continued infrastructure investments are needed.

Sebastião do Rego Barros, President of the Chamber of Deputies

The wish of the PUF memebrs is seconded by the Chamber Secretariat, who ask for the bill's author (the PLD) for further insight into how they wish for this bill to procede.

The primary goal for the bill - to achieve federal funding for repairs - has been made redundant with the failure to pass the bill and the executive order. Furthermore, no further insights have been offered by other parties beside the PUF since our last response, so we would motion that this bill be archived.

We would advise a new bill be created.

Sebastião do Rego Barros, President of the Chamber of Deputies

We agree with the previous statement. This bill shall now be archived. Its author's are more than welcome to issue a new bill whenever they see fit.
