UNGA: Condemnation of Iranian support of Rebels

Members of the United Nations, I must bring to the world's attention the Iranian interference in the sovereignty of Iraq. Either the government of Iran, or entities operating with the blessing of the government of Iran, have sent aid to Kurdish rebels in Iraq. While this violation of sovereignty itself is condemnable, the fact that this action has prompted an aggressive Iraqi response makes it even more concerning.

The General Assembly,
Recognizing the sovereignty of the Iraqi nation and its right to expect other nations and groups not to interfere in its politics,

Concerned about Iranian intervention into Iraqi politics as it undermine Iraq's sovereignty,

Gravely Concerned over how such actions could lead to an escalation of conflict in the Middle East that could lead to war,

1. Condemns Entities intervening in Iraqi politics by supporting Kurdish rebels, whose legality is not recognized by any member of the United nations.

2. Calls upon Iran to prevent future similar actions and refrain from interfering in the state of Iraq

3. Calls upon all parties in the Middle East to take steps to deescalate a growing conflict by respecting international borders and governments
