Turns are all out, we'll say they're due back next Friday so the turn can go up on Saturday. You have one week, no extensions, get the turns in.

Good luck, enjoy, read the rules, and you are encouraged to create a little conflict, or things are likely to be devilishly dull :3

We're doing well, Gesar's is on the way, hoping we can most of the rest in before the deadline.

Sorry for the 1 day delay, turns are all out and due back on Friday 28th October. A 1 day extension will be accepted in the worst possible circumstances because I was a day late getting the turn out. Nothing more than that.

IN OTHER, LESS PLEASANT NEWS

I know it's been a little while since I've run a BOP game, but some of you have clearly forgotten how things are done. No naming names, but part of the reason shit took so long was because people have somehow forgotten after we've been doing this for years, how shit is supposed to be done to make life easier for the GM. Let's break it down:
  • 1. Reply to the PM I send you - This is the easiest thing in the world to do, guys. I send you a PM. It's formatted very clearly. The title is always in the same format, the content is always in the same format. There's a little button above it that says "Reply". Click that button. Do not send me a new PM with a new title. Half the time you leave out what your credits are, so I have to go look it up, but it also deprives me of being able to use the message history that accumulates at the bottom to check what we've talked about previously in that message chain. It'll be useful for you too if you use it. Also it fucks up the automatic sorting of the 1715 turns into their own folder.
  • 2. Prices for actions - I know this is a slightly altered rule set, but it's not that wildly different. It takes two seconds to look up the cost of an action and write it down next to your action in the PM. If people start leaving out action costs, I'm going to ignore those actions. Don't think you can skate by and I'll do it for you, or that you can sneak extra actions in without paying for them. It's not hard to do, but it adds extra time I have to spend looking shit up.
  • 3. Totalling your costs - Additional to not including actions, people are not totalling their costs. It's particularly bewildering when you've written down the costs of every action, and then forgotten to write down how much everything costs. If there are conditionals in your turn for different circumstances occurring, that's more acceptable, but it's still super easy to write down "200c if X, 250c if Y" at the bottom. Not difficult, guys.
  • 4. Keep it simple - Ordinarily I'm down for detail. But I don't need your commentary, reminding me of extra bits and pieces we've spoken of previously unless I've asked you to remind me, detailed history, in-character writing, etc. You are encouraged to provide links instead where you want to provide history or evidence, instead of wording it yourself - and to otherwise, remember that less is more. Use your best judgement.

There are some other bits and bobs too, but I'll leave it at that for now and provide a sample lay out of what a correctly laid out turn might look like. You're free to adopt your own format or twist, as long as it's clear and easy to follow.

France - 2500
-100: Invest in our economy. Improve the road and transport infrastructure.

-10: 1 unit in Algeria will continue to pursue FLN rebels, securing towns along the way to keep them out of rebel hands.

-50: Send aid to the Vietnamese anti-communists.

-30: Frame the USSR as having attempted to send chemical weapons to the Viet Minh.

190/2500 = 2310

Obviously your turns will tend to be longer than this, but it's no bad thing if they're not - you can have a simple yet effective turn, especially if we've discussed things previously and I'm aware of your intentions.

Anyway, with that out of the way, hopefully things will go more smoothly for the next turn.

There was a request that I space out news events instead of having it in a big long text wall, so I've edited the news. If people find it easier to read and would like me to keep doing it like this, let me know.
