[CHAMBER] O direito de votar

Post by LordMoose »

In dealing with the issue brought up with the open letter to our president we purpose this simple bill
O direito de votar

Whereas - It has become commonplace to believe that women should be able to vote

Section 1 - That the great nation of Brazil shall not denied the ability to vote on all levels of government due to the physical sex of a person
Since we have been told that this must be put in by the president and that we need at least 1/3 backing of the house this thread will now be used to gauge interest in this bill

We are greatly in favour of this bill, although we --- being newcomers to this mighty Congress --- are unsure of the constitutional procedure needed.

((This can only be done by a constitutional ammendment, one that can only be introduced by the president itself and that has the initial backing of 1/3 of the house))

I appreciate your enthusiasm for the extension of suffrage to the female population of Brazil, but as has been noted this initiative requires a constitutional amendment, and will be addressed by President Luis when he is ready to do so.

Perhaps this vote could be formally closed, as it has been noted to not be in line with constitutional regulations. Unless the Liberators feel they can reword it to be in line with the constitution.
