After Death Experience club raid

Place holder for the RP

As in all RP scenarios thus far you will be stating your intended actions and GM will relay if they are successful/unsuccessful. I will indicate which player the point of view/initiative the RP shifts to which will indicate that it is there turn to write out their RP and intentions. This is the first RP involving three players. I expect bumps, but will do my best to help work through them.

This thread will go live once I complete the first post in it.

The night is cool, the pulsing beat of techno music can be heard coming from After Death Experience Nightclub across 35th street. Taskmaster's remembers the building as the old Gemeni Diner. Now, a place where the 'undead' kidnap, and feast on the living.

Taskmaster, Spymaster, and institute graduates(1 unit) move downstairs from the floors above Profit and empty out onto the sidewalk. Taskmaster see's a white van pull up on 35th street next to the American Cathedral. "This must be Pilgrim now" says Spymaster. Taskmaster nods, watching Pilgrims crew of 6 and a group of guys that look like ex-cons(1 unit) dis-embark.

The scene shifts to Johns side of the street:

"Looks like our friends are ready, nobody told me we were wearing our Halloween costumes tonight" Marlena said pointing at Taskmaster. "Must have some pretty big balls under that costume to only bring 5 other guys with him" quipped Eddie. "Lock and load everyone, this is going to get loud" John said as he charged his Vektor, noticing 4 bouncers(1 Turn blood unit) and a long line of patrons in front of After Death Experience club.

Scene shifts Inside to Marcus Van Sciver's office:

Marcus sits at his desk conversing with one of his men when the two notice on camera a white van stop on 35th street. The music is loud but Marcus doesn't mind. He wouldn't of given the van a second thought if it wasn't for the visibly armed men pouring out of it.

The song changes.


The scene shifts outside to John Pilgrims crew.

Were he alone, John would approach the bouncers with care and sneak up to them in some way, shot them dead one by one before they could react and drop a one liner to the nonplussed partygoers waiting for entrance.

However he is not alone, and John's professionalism tells him that the vampires know he is there. At the very least, he doubts those bouncers are blind or near-sighted. Having already given the order to ready weapons, he yet maintains his cool headed demeanor as he says: "Run for cover and fire." Before any in his team can do so, however, he aims for the surest shot among the bouncers and opens fire. These are not vampires, so unlikely to be hurt by the special bullets. However a bullet is a bullet, and one to the head kills a man more often than not, and he had plenty to spare yet.

The night had just begun, after all.

The round from John's Vector strikes a bouncer in the head. A bright glow emits, and the bouncer falls to the grown disintegrating into a pile of ash. The other three bouncers take notice, as the line of clubbers outside freak out, and scatter in all directions.

Marlena moves in front of the Armenian Cathedral. Cover is scarce but she knows construction barriers are better than nothing. "Guys spread out, and lay down fire!" she yells as she fires her glock striking another bouncer in the chest, creating another pile of ash. Eddie remains behind the engine block of the van as he fires with his SIG. Rip fires his shotgun next to him. The bouncers return fire with their glocks putting holes in the grill. Clubbers get caught in the cross fire, and fall in the roadway. Davy makes his way over to the Armenian Cathedral with Marlena, "I'm going inside, cover me" he yells over the gunfire pointing to the Cathedral.

By this time all 4 bouncers out front are ash. The brief reprieve is welcomed but John knows its not over yet. His group of Ex-cons(1 unit) follows Marlena to the Cathedral.
(The scene shifts to Taskmaster)
As the clubbers on the outside taper off, Taskmaster still hears the music playing inside. He comes to the conclusion that its too loud to hear gunshots on the outside. However, He knows it won't be long until the attack is figured out.

He needs to make a decision, go into the club, or remain on the outside. Neither would be easy, the inside would be packed with clubbers, and staying outside would risk a fight with the NYPD when they inevitably respond.

"We-what?"

"They, Popped!" repeated Taskmaster.

"Yeah boss, uh...they sure did."

"That was awesome. Did you know you could pop a dracula? Remind me to find out who's supplying their bullets, that's way more than Hammer's been selling to us. Wow, bullets that make --"

"Boss. The job."

"Uh, yeah. Right. I'll take point. Cover the roof entrances, and get the boys into a perimeter. I'll go in first, let the magic bullet fellas follow me in. Dont do anything til I signal. Im gonna see what the admission fees for the VIP section are like."

Taskmaster will 'tap triangle to loot' the piles of ash for any keys/security ID cards, other than that, power strut right through the front door, Halloween mask and all.

Taskmaster stacks up on the outside of the main entrance. Spymaster is right behind him as the number 2 man. Rip and Eddie run up to them from across the street taking the 3rd and 4th position. Taskmasters Graduates remain on perimeter with their guns trained on the upper windows and rooftop overlooking the main entrance.

The music seems louder now, but muddled. Taskmaster knows his adrenaline is up.
Scene shifts inside to Marcus
In this very instant three floors up Marcus is out of his office. His grip tightens on the rail as her overlooks the main dance floor. He prepares to give orders to Blair, his #2 man. He knows any minute the club will erupt in chaos.

Marcus noticing this now knows their armed for vampire hunting. He orders all club goes out from the secret exits and gets security to prepare. "Everyone to battle stations! hunters! Assume Blade is not far behind! Arm up take cover ambush points in the club nobody go out!" as he orders this they all move to second floor mostly it'd channel the attacks up narrow staircases with no cover or little cover.The Familiar guards with body armor and G36 Assault Rifles and other such weapons were to go first they were trained better than typical familiars and would give this foe a fight. They woudl be behidn furniture or bars on the first floor and up on the second in flanking positions to the entrance.Vampires were kept up top and backed up hard to hit behind nearly full cover.

Blair being former special ops was ordered to keep the familiars in line so they didint panic. Inka and night terror were melee backup mostly though the former had guns meanwhile the others formed defensive lines further into the club. To reach Marcus would be to fight through choke points and ambushes and kill zones all the way up. Marcus had been preparing for an attack from the Daywalker if these men wanted to do a dry run so be it.

The benefit of the clubs lay out is it maximized space for customers while also gave only ONE way directly in narrow and down a short hall which meant once they came in the entire club of security woudl open fire with enough rounds to kill them on the spot. It'd be possible for exceptional individuals to get by but most troops would die playing bullet sponge. Ammo was armor piercing or thats what Marcus had ordered hopefully they had enough. Blade tended to pack a armored vest that stopped most handgun ammo cold so he'd tried to even the odds up by improving his ammo supply. Once numbers were whittled down Marcus assumed they would be left with the real capable members of this team and then it was a battle he could not entirely anticipate.

While the majority of forces faced the front Marcus did not leave the roof entirely undefended. Peter and two Pure Blood Vampires joining him went with the non bodyguard familial units to give them back up and monitor their efforts. This group mostly had shotguns, smgs and pistols but with some ammo to help against body armor some. They woudl hold up at the entrances from the roof to make a giant kill zone for anybody coming in. Marcus did not think anybody would come there but he also was not going to gamble on it. This also would allow Marcus to gauge if his flank was compromised from the roof. The vampires kept to cover their enemy had silver and possibly more weapons. So they were to play it smart. They would use superior strength speed and resilience where possible but try to avoid stupid battles that favored the hunters. So the stage was set their enemy would come and be opened fire upon from at least three directions and two levels. Marcus had his preparations now to see how they did.

The music abruptly shuts off. Marcus' men work to rush the clubbers out of the building. He watched as his Familiar bodyguards filed past him on his way to the roof. They were well armed, with G36k's and FN P90's. Peter and 8(2 units) pure blood vampires followed Marcus. Familiars, armed with pistols and submachine guns held at choke points in the club.
Scene shift to Taskmaster
Taskmaster could hear a hoard of footsteps coming his way. Yelling and screaming followed them. He looked for John who was still by his van. Clubbers began to brush past Taskmaster, hardly taking notice of him and his men.
Scene shifts to Pilgrim
John watched as his guys stacked up behind Taskmaster and Spymaster. He needed to make a decision to join them in entry, or remain on the outside.

John knows he is caught between joining the gauntlet ahead through the narrow entrance or staying with the van, each option having it's own pros and cons which he has little time to weight upon and decide. One would make getting in slightly easier, the other would help in the getaway.

Or so it seems.

John quickly jumps into the van's driving seat, confident that his Crew would follow through once he is done - and steps on the accelerator, aiming straight for the club as he ducks to cover himself from any debris that might be caused by the break in. More precisely his intention is to drive through the wall that would leave the van right underneath the balcony the vampires and/or vampire familiars intend to use to riddle his associates full of holes. If this worked, however, it would either force them to retreat or take some casualties - at the very least it would split their forces or force them to reposition, plus providing some rather convenient cover for his own side.

Should he succeed, John's next step would be to fire at whichever threat was closer - and if none was immediate, then right at the balcony above him. Once he regrouped with whoever followed him through the hole in the wall he would give two orders: "Stay behind cover, they might be above us so do not be afraid to shot. And someone give Spymaster a batch of silver bullets, we need the firepower."

The van burst through the East wall of the club killing 4 guards(1 Familiar bodyguard unit) who were unlucky enough to get dragged under, and struck by the van as it crashed into the main entry floor. John, noticed the windshield spider-webbed, and although bullet/shock resistant, would not hold up against sustained fire.

Immediately after he finished his thought a hail of gunfire trained on the front of the van from the bar across the room. One round made it through the windshield and struck John in his right shoulder as he exited, and headed to the rear of it. He successfully moved to cover behind the van itself. Taskmasters Graduates(1 unit) who were covering the roof ran over to John and got behind the van with him, responding to the bar inside with sporadic fire.

In response to John's order to provide silver rounds to Spymaster, Rip piped up "Ain't nobody got .45 rounds but you John!". A Graduate yelled "More coming on our right!" referring to the Familiar guards who re-directed their attention from the Hallway. As soon as he got the words out he was dead, a round passed through his right eye, and hit the graduate behind him in the right elbow, taking him out of the fight too. John was left with only 2 Graduates with him behind the van.
The scene shifts to Taskmaster
Taskmaster heard the crash, and instinctively took advantage of the distraction. He went into the club, shield up and sword ready, Spymaster right behind him. Spymaster unloaded on 4 Familiars(1unit) over Taskmaster's shoulder, who were behind the reception desk and armed with Glocks and MP5K's. Taskmasters shield deflected the rounds that were fired by them. Rip, Eddie, and Pilgrims ex-cons(1 unit) followed them inside whilst strangling clubbers ran past screaming. Taskmaster now had an empty hall ahead of him, with lots of gunfire coming from the main entry floor.

"Calloway, hold back and make some cover. You see that wall?" Taskmaster pointed to his right, and handed the hilt of his sword to Spymaster. Ted nodded, and began breaking up furniture, interior decor, anything he was facing.

Taskmaster looked back at the Boys, vaguely forgetting who was Pilgrim's and who was Solomon's. Remembering even the basics was still hard, as he was reminded several times a day. "All of youse, hold back. Get ready to make a quick exit if this gets ugly, and don't be afraid to leave me behind. Who knows how many draculas there are in this place."

He stretched a shoulder, then pulled as close to the corner as he could. Arm outstretched in front of him, shield facing the direction of the oncoming vampire fire. The crowds, if they were thinning, would hopefully no longer be as big of a background noise. Bullets hitting the shield wouldn't be an issue, and hopefully drawing their attention with it would let him get his voice loud enough.

"Hey! HEY! You draculas know what parlee is"

"It's, uh- par ley boss"

"DRACULAS! Youse know what a paylee is? I WANNA TALK TO YOUSE."

Spymaster flips a switch on the hilt of the broadsword, and it begins to hum and emit light. Slowly, but surely, he guides it in a circular fashion around the interior wall Taskmaster had gestured too.

As Spymaster cuts through the wall he hears talking on the other side. Bullets fly through the wall, two stuck him in his left thigh. He dropped the sword, and returned fire blindly with his .45 . Pilgrims men behind him did the same.

In the preceding silence. Eddie kicked in the remain pieces of the damaged wall. He entered the security office, and found piles of ash on the far side of the room. Eddie yelled "room is clear!". Rip entered the room behind Eddie.

Spymaster put pressure on his leg. "Boss, you're going to have to continue without me, my leg is done" he said.
Scene shifts to Marcus
On the roof Marcus could hear the continued gunfire below. Nobody had made it to the roof yet, he knew that was a good sign. The intruders would have to push like hell to get to him. Then, a loud crack rang out.

A round whizzed by his head, Marcus and his men on the roof ducked behind a raised part of the roof on the edge. Peter yelled "Sniper in the cathedral across the street!".

With a bullet whizzing by Marcus annoyed ducked behind the furniture all of which was bullet resistant up to 7.62mm AP rounds because he figured it may come in handy. His others with him did too. “SNIPER!” he called. Alerting the others. Meanwhile the police had been long since alerted by security before they had been eliminated. As gunfire continued Orders came to fall back into the club each group firing bursts of controlled gunfire as half moved to more defensible positions before they covered the fall back of the next. Since the Roof had been clear for now orders came for half that team to take position to cover the now breached security area and fire into it when the enemy exited. Stage one of the defense had actually been for this the initial hall kept every enemy going down narrow entrances limiting firepower they could bring while maximizing defensive fire. The security office had a narrow door for one person at a time again now covered their enemies numbers didn’t help them except to absorb bullets.

What he hoped was these idiots would stay longer every minute they wasted police with more and more Intel were coming and soon they would be attacked from both ends. Marcus had his bases covered everyone had licenses clearances and permits, it all was ensured to be legal along with his contacts in law enforcement. But Marcus also hd other plans the normal sprinkler system had two settings or ell four but two of notes for the fire department. And the Pilgrim team was about to enjoy as was the team at the front entrance…they also had “TEST” Controls so he orders from his own position because electronics were so much fun using his smart phone the release into just those places CO2 gas. Anybody not wearing a respirator with air was going to wish they had packed diving gear today. They would have seconds to get outside or deeper in and subject themselves to 180 degrees of fire, they were going to learn the deeper they went the deader they were. See CO2 did great vs fires but Marcus when asked only had it ever set for when the club was empty, water was for if patrons were there for “safety” reasons. In reality Marcus’s real patrons didn’t give one solid crap about air or lack of it they were unharmed by it. While task Master might be suited up entirely nobody else looked to bring his or her masks today. As the Gas flooded in they would have limited time to vacate either outside to the soon awaiting cops or inside to even more gunfire. Meanwhile his familiars had masks for this if they were in the body guard unit or were safe distance away if they were not in that unit. But this was also why the body guard units were placed up front their gear did a lot better for them.

Even if they all escaped the confined places they now had to do so with less time to properly plan their advances to cover making them more vulnerable.This ironically was not intended for Blade he often was too aggressive for such tactics.

Sirens could be heard in the distance now. The NYPD sounded like it was coming in force.

Another bullet whizzed by Marcus' head as he took cover on the roof. For a minute he forgot where he was and would of preferred to be in his office behind bullet resistant furniture he got from IKEA, special order. Marcus look behind him to see and ash pile where Peter was last standing.

The order given by Marcus to use Co2 to gas the intruders was carried out, to no avail however as the giant hole created by Pilgrims van allowed the co2 to escape the building.
The scene shifts to Pilgrim
John feels a breeze as co2 rushed past him out of the hole he created. He heard the bodyguard unit on the other side of the van start to close distance towards him, gun shots followed, killing the two graduates with him. John had to react, fast.

The situation is difficult. With a wounded shoulder taking on the vampires one on one would probably be a bad idea, if anything because he is unaware of the extent of the damage.

But he could always try to outsmart them. They were vampires, not gods, after all. Grabbing one of the certainly-dead graduates John lifts him up and throws him past the van's cover, immediately afterwards trying to sneak a few shots from his position at the vampires. For a regular Joe this would be a daunting task given the shoulder pain, but John had one major advantage over the common man and this was it - he could steel through it.

Assuming he succeeds at least partially at all that, he talks over his radio saying three words: "Watch the van." Particularly hoping Marlene and Davy across the street heard him, and immediately goes under the vehicle as quickly as he can, not even bothering to fire his gun yet. If this worked, he would have time to aim later - every spot was a weak spot for a vampire so long as the bullet was made of silver, and under the van he could fire with ample cover. It would mostly be a matter of the van not collapsing on him for whatever reason, but if the engine had not exploded yet then it would be unlikely to explode now.

If this worked in turn, he would wait until the threat was over and give more orders over the radio: "Give Spymaster a medkit and access the computers in the security office. See what you can do from there, specially feed us and Mr. Halloween over there with vampire locations, maps, traps, the whole deal. Anything else you come across sort of safe combinations be sure to take as well."

He would have more to say. "Davy, Marlene, we should recover the van. It will not hurt to have it ready to bolt."
