EL BOINA CAFÉ
Voz de La Raza
[Translated by SeñorCatfish, for y'all non-Spanish-speaking fuckers]
The Will breaks free, pushes against the finite, and bursts and drowns in a sort of infinite reality; it fills with buzzing and remote purposes; logic is not enough for it and it dons the wings of Fantasy; it burrows in the deepest and glimpses the highest; it widens in the harmony and ascends in the creative mystery of melody; it is satisfied and dissolves in emotion and mixes with the joy of the Universe; it becomes the passion of beauty.

La Raza, Unstoppable

Our Race bears the best and most complete product of human civilization in its blood. We are the apex of Mankind, the climax of History. It has all been for this, it has all been building up to this point. We are the rightful heirs to the legacy of a thousand proud warriors from ancient sacred lands, come together for the newer, higher, stage of Man's development: La Raza Cósmica is free in Mars to build its own land at last and fulfill its shining racial destiny.

But even now as the Nación de Bronce comes together and it's all within our reach at last, the rotten race-traitor Bourgeoisie forms its shock troops against us. The Fascists march on the seats of economic, military and political Power and proclaim their nightmare State. The fools think that with this they have won, that this somehow means anything in the grander, yes, the Cosmic scale of things. They do not realize that although they may proclaim their weaponry and strength to oppress us it is naught but folly, for we are already free. We are all free in the Barrios, we the true sons of our Race, who do not fear the future but rather embody it. They cannot defeat us for even if they destroy our bodies we are music and dreams and stars. The Will flows strong through each one of us and together we form the formidable Tsunami wave that will wash over all of the Fascists and their petty ambition.

United in the struggle.

The Integralists are doomed. They are fakers, pretenders to the throne that do not realize the seat of power is not a luxurious chair but a popular assembly, not a high court but a common courtyard. Real Power is built together, it is formed when the people of La Raza join each other to see their faces and speak their minds. The brain of a single opulent Pai Campos can never match the potential of our collective wills put together, for together we can achieve and overcome our problems not as officers and soldiers, rulers and servants, but as equal brothers speaking free in Assembly. This is the secret of La Raza, and we say it openly and proudly because we know the Fascists can never understand. This is why they will never be followed by any Latino who knows the truth of life in the Nación, and why despite all the wealth and the guns and the influence of their powerful backers they are ultimately and hopelessly doomed.

Our enemy is big, but he is not strong. He is a traitor and a spiritual coward, who runs away from his great racial destiny to cower in the shadow of despicable banners and bloody jackboots. The Integralists have arrived, back again as a farce, making a mockery of real struggle with their ridiculous formations and laughable speeches. They are brutes assembled to stomp out an unstoppable force, for every time a fascist thug goes up against a Brown Beret he is not facing one man but an entire destiny, a transcendental idea. Every man and woman who fights for La Raza is more than just himself: he fights with the strength and the Will of a million warriors uniting throughout history, reaching through time to aid their racial descendant, their brave and beloved righteous son. What hope is there for the proud Russian and his Integralist dog? He can barely conceive of the amazing power held within each individual fighter. A factory bombed? Please. Our people bear more destructive and creative potential in a single beautiful sublimated thought that all of the Fascists with all of their bombs.

¡Viva la Raza! ¡Viva la Nación de Bronce! ¡Viva nuestro destino racial!

Defeat the Integralists!

They come to destroy our fate, to stomp out the light of Mestizo civilization. They embody the horrors of ignorance and brutality, and while they will never detain the wheel of history they can and will hurt us in the short term. We cannot allow them to slaughter our neighbors and rape our families, desecrate our Faith and burn our Barrios. the Integralist is an attack dog who in his brutishness purports to hold the Truth of the Word of the Lord. He is a liar, an agent of the disgusting rich old men who would steal the word of Jesus from those who need it most. The Fascists are armed and financed by the Russians, they are the puppets of the monster Zakharov. They would rule you, my people, whereas La Raza Cósmica only seeks to speak to you in assembly, speak the Truth in the Barrios and work together in finding a way to reach our much-awaited racial destiny. The Integralists, however, are mindless worshipers of the mad clown Pai Campos, a beastly man unworthy of the blood that runs through his veins, that has abandoned the true path of La Raza to embrace the seduction of money and power. We must all oppose the enemy, clearing the way for the New Man, the real New Man, not the perversion of ideology made by the fascists in their animal fever dreams.

Let not one of us falter. We fight to win, ¡No Pasarán!

Loving fires of Salvation.

Solidarity with the Maroons!

The Fascists are puppets of the Russians, the very same Ivans who keep their own people as slaves and fight them when they dare escape. Our brother, Fray Buenaventura, has organized the runaway prisoners of the hellish Gorchakov Camp and given them hope, fed them the Latin American faith and now these Slavic men are our brothers in the struggle. Remember that the Slavic race is also born out of mixture, they are a European mestizo of sorts, only with less variety in their blood and therefore not quite Cosmic, but getting there slowly. Do not reject them, gente, but rather embrace the help of a people liberated by the Truth and willing to give their lives for the cause of Freedom and Justice, for who better understands those words than an escaped slave? Remember our much-forgotten Third Root: America was also a place of slavery, but the Negro broke free and fought alongside us against the Colony in times past. Now we must defeat Russian Imperialism, all together: Maroon and Raza, Nightingale and Illegal, Soldier and Priest. Nueva Cumaná is also a haven of liberty in an oppressed land, the survival of the Nación depends on their survival too: we need each other's solidarity if we are to triumph.

We are brothers in arms, let us stand together against the vile enemy and march onwards towards the new dawn of justice and freedom!

Our friends the Nightingales!
"Revolution, in history, is like the doctor assisting at the birth of a new life, who will not use forceps unless necessary, but who will use them unhesitatingly every time labor requires them. It is a labor bringing the hope of a better life to the enslaved and exploited masses."

Che Guevara, Guerrilla Warfare: A Method.
The Nightingale Society - Bogdanovist Movement is a group of men and women from all across Mars and Earth who are fighting every day to overthrow the murderous regime of inequality and oppression. They are our comrades in the struggle and friends of the Maroons. Like the Maroons and La Raza, they do not believe in that awful Bourgeois virtue of "leadership" but rather aim to build a collective will that can march in unison towards a greater, fairer life. Those Operatives who become well-known cannot help if their performance warrants recognition, but fame is never the goal of the Society. They may not all be Mestizo (tough many of them are!) but they are nevertheless good people who deserve our solidarity.

Onwards, compañeros! Long live the good doctor who heals with the scalpel and the gun! Solidarity indeed!

Image
We shall have our day in the sun, the sun is the Oppressor set aflame.

Glory to the Revolutionary Front!

Mars screams. The people of the Red Planet cry out in search of Salvation, in search of an answer to their desperate hidden prayers, relief from the everyday oppression and brutality they endure. Every once in a while, some of them would rise up, righteous and wielding their dignified need. These uprisings were sometimes stomped out by the savage regimes, but in time some survived, held on, found ways to build a lasting resistance to Reaction. The Nightingales, the people of Unity, the Maroons. They held on.

But they were separate struggles, isolated in their own worlds. The path to victory, however, converges near the end. And so the struggles of Mars came together, agreeing to build upon their shared beliefs and walk together in the road of struggle. Theirs is not an easy road, but one that must be walked to reach the eternal fountains of freedom.

It is in this understanding that La Raza Cósmica gladly announces it's joining the Revolutionary Front for the Salvation of Mars (RFSM), to strengthen our struggle with the brotherhood of the people of Mars. The Integralists want to make this land into a closed-off Russian colony, while we desire to free it from Imperialism so we can join the rest of this world as equals, as compañeros, as brothers.

Join La Raza Cósmica!

In the streets, in the fields, in the shadows. In Assembly, in the firefight, in the light. With the truth on our tongue and history's thousand lashes on our back. La Raza Cósmica marches on with bravery and determination. We are growing every day, and every day a new hero rises and a martyr is born in the struggle. Though it saddens us every time we lose a compañero, we find solace in the knowledge that he or she died in the fight, the fairest and most glorious fight there is: the fight to defend the Barrio, the family, and to fulfill our racial destiny.
The Brown Berets could use the help of someone like you, dear reader. Ask before or after your local Assembly for information on joining, or contact the person who sold you this bulletin.
We are brothers in the struggle, my people. The Nación de Bronce endures.

Through My Race Shall Speak The Spirit.

Liberation From Fallacies:
A Response to Padre Agostinho Kreutz

Image
by Fray Quirino Peláez

Recently, a certain padre published a column in the pages of an awful Fascist rag. Usually, this shameful act would hardly be noticed, but the present circumstances of our locality have placed a disproportionate amount of attention to the ramblings of demented authoritarians. A temporary situation, of course, but one that makes it the duty of good Catholics to face and rebuke the falsehoods spit out by the Integralist Fascists and their friends. I apologize beforehand for the extended nature of this text, but even as it stands it can count only as a superficial rebuttal of Integralist lies.

The article in question begins by speaking about the growth of religious activism in the Red Mountain, however, the author sorely misrepresents it. This growth was not some strange outside thing arriving at our community with new ideas and words, but rather a natural development borne out of the homegrown needs of the local population. Indeed, as he puts it, God's message is an immense aid to the poor and dispossessed, like an opioid medicine given to a sickly or wounded man. It was us, however, native Mountaineers, who decided this was the medication we needed, nobody else. The Integralists claim time and again that the Nightingales somehow control the Nación, yet this very padre cannot avoid confessing that he heard these thoughts on the mouths of the youths of his congregation because that is precisely where they come from. It is the people of this great land who have taken up the mantles he so callously dismisses, the simple folk, the working folk. For all his paranoid inventions, this padre cannot hide the humble, popular, and real origins of the hopes for Liberation now guiding our people.

The author then goes on to disparage the ideas, the hopes and the dreams of the many many cold and hungry, who are supposed to be his flock, and outright accuses us, those men of the cloth who have taken the side of the meek and the poor, of some form of Heresy. A shocking claim, but one that, fortunately, doesn't hold up against the conscientious study of Scripture. He says we would put Marxism above Catholicism, when it is clear that the truthful application of both doctrines, not plagued by the outside or the accidental but one that grasps their very essence, is complimentary and even one and the same. Has Marxism been done wrong in the past? Sure. I believe Marx himself did not realize the profoundly Christian nature of his ideas. Yet the Church has made mistakes too, and has apologized for them. Maybe that padre could learn some humility from that.

Is the Raza bad Christians because it helps the poor? Because it sides with the people in their struggle against the oligarchs? Because it aims to put the workers in charge of their affairs and no longer live in bondage (virtual or literal) to a wealthy vicious elite?

At no point have we ever idolized Chávez, but to pretend Jesus' message is anything less than revolutionary is to misrepresent our religion entirely, for it is written of Him that "when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd" (Matthew 9:36). Jesus took pity on the poor, for they were weak and disorganized. And he loved them. He didn't fear them or slander them, but rather gave them hope and healed their wounds (Matthew 11:5). Christ was not some conservative preacher, speaking of compassion without backing it up, he spoke plainly of the great rewards awaiting those who now suffered: the very Kingdom of Heaven itself (Matthew 5:3).

The Bible is also very clear on its position against the oppressors: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:24). The rich become wicked in their power, even though Jesus warned them that coins were not a real salvation (Luke 12:15) and told them to be charitable (Luke 3:11), yet the reality of the situation of Mars is not one of harmony and brotherhood but of chaos and hatred, of greed amassed at the expense of the majority, of the poor being relegated to the margins of public life and the horrors of slavery fueling a military-industrial complex with impunity, only opposed by a few that, far from being helped by those who speak of being pious (indeed, making great noise and proclaiming their piety, as goes against the will of God (Matthew 6:7)) they are persecuted like the first Christians of old. The reactionary "pious" should bow down their heads in shame that they do not aid the Maroons in their rightful struggle, for they are the weakest and most vulnerable children of Christ, his most forsaken flock, driven to desperation and forced to take up arms by the sheer Terror launched upon them.

This man launches shameless slander against the Maroons of Mars, as if the mission of Fray Buenaventura and Nueva Cumaná were not only justified but also Holy. Remember that Jesus proclaimed he was here "To proclaim liberty to the captives [...] To set at liberty those who are oppressed;" (Luke 4:18). It is Jesus's will that we help the downtrodden: "For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me." (Matthew 26:11). And though the slave and the peasant and the worker may seem pitiful now, when they rise up there will be no mercy for those who in their vanity thought they may control the lives of their fellow man: " And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’" (Matthew 25:40).

The poor, the maimed, the unfortunate are all here to test us, so that the works of God may be displayed in our compassion towards them (John 9:1-41). And do not think, padre, that you are somehow exempt from the guilt of not standing up to defend the weakest among your flock, for even with your words you go against the Lord's will:
"Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees,
and the writers who keep writing oppression,
to turn aside the needy from justice
and to rob the poor of my people of their right,
that widows may be their spoil,
and that they may make the fatherless their prey!" (Isaiah 10:1-2)
So where are the principles of Christendom in conflict with social justice, exactly? The good padre has many loud scandalous insults, but nary an argument. He appeals to the word of a Pope, as if we could not also quote the great Francis I when he says: "Just as the commandment 'Thou shalt not kill' sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, today we also have to say 'Thou shalt not' to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills." Let us remember it was this same Francis who lifted the block on Saint Óscar Romero's canonization process, and thus gave us one of our most beloved figures to pray to.

In the end, when he has run out of ideas, this padre goes on to accuse the Nightingales of the most vile things. It is not my place to defend our doctor compañeros, I will simply ask that this author present evidence of these fantastic claims. Anyone who has been with them can prove that their ideology is, indeed, that of Revolutionary Humanism, a school of thought that has its roots in the Christian tradition of Saint Thomas More, Erasmus of Rotterdam and Luis Vives. They are good people, and I am prepared to stand by their actions and defend them here.

My father was a factory worker all his life and my mother worked as well. Their words taught me respect, their actions taught me responsibility, their faces taught me the look of pain, and their whole lives put together spoke to me the word of the Lord. A fair, caring, God. One preoccupied with the welfare of His flock, a good shepherd who desires we be safe and free (Psalm 23), not an excuse for the rich and the powerful to keep living off people like my mother and my father. The Lord is not a comfortable refuge for the painful conscience of the privileged but the beacon of Holy light guiding the steps of the poor as they march on to fulfill his will, to build paradise on Mars.

Yes, it is a difficult road, one plagued by many dangers and pitfalls, yet do not despair when you hear gunfire and dogs coming after you, compañeros. Remember the Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:10-12). So stay strong, my people. Together, we shall triumph.
