Vietnamese-loyal forces join up with PAVN, and a civil war erupts between pro-Chinese and pro-Vietnamese forces. Both suffer losses to the Tam government’s benefit.
• Chinese arms to the Khmer Rouge increase the morale of the forces in favor of China and lead them town a critical countryside battle where two thousand Vietnamese Faction rebels are killed or captured.
