A lot of this sounds like lack of explanation, then, it being written so briefly. It'd be helpful to mention that the triggers for the protests occurred regardless of any attempts to prevent them, for example, rather than just launching into a one-sentence civil war narrative - as that's how it came off.

The Hanoi clique has units of the PAVN backing it up. Even with OYID being a giant skeeze the pro-Chinese elements of the Khmer Rougue aren't going to rout them like that. But thanks for not addressing, as Gesar pointed back, that OYID magically turning back Soviet aid to me with "covert actions against them".

Oh yeah, and I quit.

Uh so here's the thing. I'd like to keep playing but not only has Snacks raised some valid points, but with Flamelord also dropping out, I'm not particularly down to play a game that's going to be the USSR and Cuba vs. America, France, Britain, Israel, West Germany (for fuck's sake why do we have a West Germany player), Ethiopia, and Zaire vs. OYID being a dickwad and I guess BG.

So. Not trying to quit you on you, but I'm going to go ahead and point out how this game just became a lot less fun for Smyg and I.

This is what happens every game, Snacks. Too much anger. Ugh.

I won't bother playing if Team Soviet is two players down.

So presumably the better option is for players to swap to Libya/Vietnam. I only have mobile internet for the next few days; I don't have time to be Vietnam anyway. But id be willing to go Libya if that helps?

Also this sort of shite is why its so hard to get a GM in the first place. Litos processed promptly and we finally have a BoP game again. Can we please have a situation where there's more debate about other players actions in the UN? I appreciate not everything went everyone's way, but the fact of the matter is dropping out is counter-productive as I'm quite sure Litos will not ignore points raised in future. And we probably won't see another frequently processed game if this is allowed to die.

I agree with Coin. A main game, is better than no main game at all. Even if things need a few tweaks dropping out isn't gonna solve anything. I've been waiting to come back to play a BoP game, I really don't wanna see this one die in the first one to two turns like so many past ones. That trend is very telling by the way, and it's concerning if molotov is to keep on living.

I'm still here and without intention of quitting, to be clear, if the game runs. My concerns weren't game-breaking.

Listen to these guys, yo. Let's soldier through a bad/unlucky/whatever turn aight. If Litos is really such a bad GM, I'm sure at least one of you will be willing to step up and replace him, no? Come on, it's not like you're talking shit without being willing to back it up, right? That'd be very much unlike you. :>

In Snacks' unsolicited defense, I'd like to say that him playing was mostly a result of my coaxing, and that he was on the fence about it all already. The fact that some inexplicably stupid shit happened wasn't the sole reason, and so with that I'm pretty okay with him not playing (and not playing myself if shit's going to be constantly dumb and 2 v. 8 like it has been). I didn't sign up for an RNG-heavy game, so if that's the scenario we're dealing with, you kids have fun.

Let's take it down a notch, kids. Work through the problems one by one.

Without going into specific items in the turn, it sounds like the tone of the game is a little raw for Snacks. Any chance to resolve that saves us shuffling too much with the players, so if Litos could give it some consideration I'd appreciate that.

If we do have an East/West discrepancy, does shuffling players around adequately resolve that for the remaining players? I'd be happy to pick up something on the Red side if it keeps the game going, assuming someone else slots in for the UK.

Less of the dramatics, more methodical problem>solution mindset in here, alright?

In terms of players shuffling around, I'd prefer movement between people unable to see the NATO forums and thus not privy to all the discussions there.

And for the record, I'm still around and willing to resolve problems, assuming player issues are fixed and stats go up.

I am still around as well, if Coin and Rin are interested, they can switch. India is important I recon so I will keep from switching but if the need is dire I will jump ship
