Re: Announcements and Deadlines
Just an update for everyone in terms of where things stand: we're basically ready to go once people do their sign ups. I just need to write the news (which I already know mostly what it's going to say), with big bits depending on what you guys write, so yeah. Oh, and the market index, but that's just adding numbers. After that, I'll write up and send out turn PMs and we can get underway.
Also, just to mention, please bear in mind that the news is for Q4 1980: this means that it will hold the details of the 1980 election. So you can be a newly elected person to a given role if you want - some of your congressional colleagues will be. I am, as always, available to discuss character creation, provide suggestions of all sorts, answer questions about most things, and so on.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
Just to let people know, the previous policy of having a split between, in this case, the Progressive Moderate faction and the Presidency, is no longer being followed for simplicity's sake. Further more, if you're playing a member of Congress, you're by no means barred from being in the Cabinet if the President offers you an appointment to the Executive branch, provided you resign your congressional seat.
You'll still get to post in Congress, because it'd be daft if you didn't. But for people with a foot in both branches of government, at least a half-way fleshed out character you're planning to be most of the time in the legislature would be appreciated.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
Now using the Turn Tracker as a Sign Ups Tracker.
Coinneach is ready to go. Gesar and OYID have finished their public sign ups, still need PMs for their skeletons/secret stuff. Everyone else has posted at the very least a placeholder sign up, except RinKou.
I was hoping to get things ready to go over this weekend so I can leave you guys to it and process next Saturday/Sunday when I have some spare time.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
3/9 complete, Litos ticks over to yellow because his is almost complete, just finalising things.
When we hit 5 complete sign ups, I'll send out turn PMs and we can get rolling. Snacks, BgKnight, Smyg, I'm lookin' at you to help me out here.
Also anyone who wants to talk about their sign ups or has any questions, drop me a PM.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
4/9, thank you to BgKnight. One more and I'll send out turn PMs and those we're waiting on to finish their sign ups can sort it out as we go along.
Also of potential interest to others - the Congressional Register has been filled out. Some players have chosen to send me some details on people they want to flesh out a little within their own factions. Anyone else who wants to is welcome to do the same. You can write the full thing for me if you'd like in the format of those you see listed. Also feel free to change names, very little is set in stone.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
As you'll have no-doubt noticed, your turn PMs are now out. In accordance, I've updated the OP with a turn tracker, and split the sign up tracker off. When everyone has completed their sign ups, I'll remove it.
The deadline is set for Tuesday 20th January - a week from now. Do try and meet it, guys. Hopefully soon we'll be able to have quicker turns.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
Smyg's sign up is sorted. Got Snacks' full bio, just waiting for him to post his abridged version in the sign up thread and he goes green too. Waiting on confirmation from Litos he's happy with his sign up as we were talking about it via PM and I'll edit his post back and we're good to go there too. RinKou's promised me a sign up by Monday, so then just need to check with Goofy and we're all solid.
In actual turn's news, nothing so far. Disappointing when the deadline was gonna be Tuesday. If people want an extension, ask.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
Snacks has requested a turn extension until Wednesday. If others would like to request it be extended further, I'm open to suggestions.
Even if you're not planning on doing anything, people (and I realise that as this is a game in a more stable nation you may be more stuck for covert things to do), I'd appreciate a reply PM stating you wish to do nothing this turn.

Re: Announcements and Deadlines
New announcements!
Maddox is taking over from Goofy as the Republican Party - Moderate Faction.
As for Goofy, worry not, he's not leaving us. Instead Henry Holliday is remaining with us, his position to be decided soooon. He'll probably end up being that popular, well-know, eccentric congressman. Floating around and doing slightly wacky things. Things being discussed with Goof.
