First post has had a bill/debate tracker added to it to help you guys figure out who and what you're waiting on on any given thing up for debate.

For example, right now you should all be voting on Cabinet and President pro tempore of the Senate appointments at the very least. Everything in the Senate is in fact moving along quickly.

The House and HUAC are waiting on people - either to vote, or to decide if they'll be passed through Committee or not.


EDIT: + minor state change in the Senate, Republican Moderate in Nebraska is now Conservative, vice versa on the Republican Conservative in Iowa.

Just a heads up that Maddox is now officially in as head of the Moderate Republican caucus. And BgKnight has had to drop out as head of the Neo-Conservative Republican caucus, but luckily ykl has stepped in, and is even keeping Bg's character since he likes it so much.

Changed the Congressional Committee Listings so there's less indecisiveness re: who gets to make the decision. If you're listed as having influence over the committee, then you basically get to decide what changes get made and limitations put in place and so on.

This doesn't stop others (in your party or not) from seeking to influence how you decide, but it makes it much clearer who you're going to in order to curry favour.


Also just to say, the uptick in activity is looking good, hoping to get the Cabinet and President Pro Tempore of the Senate sorted at bare minimum and I'll get a turn out.

Just to make clear to everyone, since Cabinet officials are appointed on a case-by-case basis, unless Smyg is changing the whole cabinet, only the selection of the Secretary of Defense is now in issue - the votes for other cabinet officials remain valid.

Encouraging stuff so far, enough votes for a quorum on the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and on the selection of a cabinet, though I'm still checking with Smyg as far as that goes. I'm planning to post the turn soon, so yeah.

Crucial update!

Just so everyone knows, the turn is basically ready to go, including music, stocks, PMs, and news. We're waiting on some Cabinet re-working that Smyg and most of the government is sorting out, plus a turn PM or two from people who've said they want to get one in. Anticipate a turn by the end of the week - ideally before then.

Just an update for everyone, in order to reflect better on the economic situation in the MSA, I've done a significant overhaul on the budget/taxation/debt stats. Now including debt ceiling shenanigans! It's longer, but I think better.


This remains an ideal moment for people who want to send turns to send them. Also I'm available to discuss writing up bios for NPC congressmen and women. Or if you want to, you can say you don't want to write them for certain people and I'll make them up. Let me know either way.

For the purposes of reaching this present point in the turn, I'm assuming all the Cabinet appointments are standing because it avoids complicating things.
