The MSA Gold Reserves Audit Act of 1981

To audit the gold reserves of the Mountain States of America, presently unaudited, to inform administrations present and future and ensure their size is known and accounted for.
The bill legislates the following:
  • Auditing the gold reserves of the Mountain States of America, presently estimated at around 500 credits worth.
  • Confirming that the audit be carried out by the Department of the Treasury, which will issue a report and brief the Secretary of the Treasury and the President on the findings.
  • Stating that in addition to the Secretary of the Treasury and President, the Chairs of the House & Senate Committees on the Budget shall likewise be informed upon the commencement of each Congress.
Is hereby signed into law by the President of the Mountain States of America with the following comment:
A sensible measure has brought together legislators from both sides of the aisle. If only all bills brought before Congress were as unifying.
