MSA Defense Review Introduced by Representative Carpenter, Oklahoma
Following the attacks of the USA on MSA soil in three separate states, to review the defenses of the republic and lessons to be learnt from the aforementioned violations of our sovereignty.
The bill legislates the following:
Remembering the brave patriots of our democratic republic who lost their lives or were wounded in the US attacks on bases in Iowa, Arkansas and Louisiana.
Beginning an official investigation in collaboration with the Congressional Committees on the Armed Services into the attacks on the MSA in response to the leaking of past OSS missions.
Requiring the subsequent publication of a report on the attacks and the apparent ease with which MSA territory and sovereignty was violated.
Stipulating the report to publish recommendations for MS American defense policy to repel any similar future attacks.

I introduce this bill with a heavy heart and a deep anger at the reckless and bloody attack on our servicemen and women by the USN and USAAF. Outrage and shock at these attacks is rightly emphatic across our republic. We must remember those lost, those wounded, and their families at this difficult and terrible time. We all have our own opinions on the prelude to and pretext for the attacks. But the matter of the MSA's defense policy must be raised, and I would do so now.
I bring to the House a bill that would investigate the attacks and the lessons which we might learn to ensure such a tragedy may be less likely in future. For one thing, it is clear that the USA is ready and shamelessly willing to attack these Mountain States; they wish to goad us into a dangerous response. Frankly that what is left of this coalition has not made even one statement on the matter is distressing in and of itself; but I would urge our response in Congress to be not provocative but sensible, unanimous, and clear.
Manipulative politicking has hampered efforts to improve the defenses of this republic in the recent and not-so-recent past. Now, however, we must push forward for the good of the MSA.

While the death of any MSAmerican citizen like those slain by the USA war-machine is a tragedy, I cannot help but feel the deaths of my fellow Louisianans particularly deeply. It is lamentable that such a proposal is necessary In this Congress, but so it is. It is no secret that we in the Republican Party have disagreed strongly with others in the House on certain specific defense matters, but all in all such a review would be welcome and I hope the soon-to-be-appointed President shall join this House in support.

Considering that skirmishes with the USA in the north-east had already placed our military - one assumes - on an increased defense footing, the arbitrary and unchallenged manner in which Washington could attack us raises many questions.
It would be my hope that this heinous attack shall unite the American people in supporting a stronger defense policy, as advocated over many years by myself and many of my colleagues. Since the Treaty of St. Paul, these Mountain States have never required more than the essential military force, for we have no enemies. The fact that our nation came under attack is only more proof in my mind that the cavalier attitude held by some members of our government is fundamentally detrimental to a national well-being. This bill only serves to further that attitude. Instead of looking outward, of being envious of the fascist regimes and acting with paranoia, we should overcome our troubles in the way President Wallace did: as Lincoln had it, with malice towards none and charity towards all.
