And yes Smyg, I figured since you'd hurt your hand, I'd torment you.

I'd like to point out that we can still strongarm them from a position of strength. For our problems, they're still laughably outclassed against us and the weaponry we have.Mathuen wrote:Whoops, seems like I told the Xenos everything. Fancy that.

More seriously though, our weaponry gap between them and the utility of it is a time sensitive asset anyways, and one which will dry up. For the xenos that makes things largely a waiting game if things heat up, so in the long term we can't really negotiate from a position of strength unless we are willing to go Exterminatus, and then if we do so the moment the Hague sees us a mile deep in xeno blood everything goes south anyways. Then there is also the problem of our disunity. Any attempt at strongarming on any really meaningful scale is more likely to turn into a shooting wary between the human factions than against the planet, once again causing us to all go south.
We're actually in a much worse long term position than is immediately apparent, and the Chinese just made it way worse for everyone.

Re: OOC and Comments
We have space ships. With laser weapons, sentient AI's, and cloaking. They don't even have flight capability. That's a pretty hard gap they won't be covering any time soon, at least in what could be seen as reasonable for the game. I'm not sure how your info helps them bootstrap their way even past the interwar period, much less get them to the modern age.Mathuen wrote: More seriously though, our weaponry gap between them and the utility of it is a time sensitive asset anyways, and one which will dry up.
