The son of a French knight in service to the Duke of Upper Lorraine and the daughter of a German graf, Sir Roger won his knighthood in service to the Duke of Burgundy. It was several years later that he entered the Knights Templar, following a period of service as a routier. Speaking little of that time to his peers and fellows, he has since dedicated his life to the Order, even if his skill at arms and dedication is somewhat offset by his tactics.
