This isn't KomeBop.

China is a backwards shithole in the 1830s, and generally is that way for the entirety of the 19th century. The only thing 'great' about it is the sheer volume of goods and people it has.

Yes, China is very rich, in population, resources, and general wealth, but very backwards when compared to all the western powers.

This is extremely pedantic but Japan and Korea aren't absolute monarchies in this period.

In a way, but I think ill keep their style of governmnet as such, sine it changes little to the overall gameplay, unless people get too bothered about it, in that case ill change it.

Hey Guys, I want to ask you all a question, would you like for me to create a forum thread for IC stuff like in BgKinght's game? Where you could make posts roleplaying people within your nations? Here is his thread for Bg's game i would take as inspiration: viewtopic.php?f=279&t=1631

Would you guys like to have this? If we did would you guys use it? Or does it make no difference?

Maybe put a single thread for it. I don't think too many people will use it - in Bg's game, it's the main form of gaming after all, whereas here we have a ton of actions and credits and such.

- I'd anticipate some kind of NPC response/worrying over US expeditions to claim Oregon Country, considering competing British claims.

- It's not really a secret where opium is coming from in China.

- A little elaboration on what the hell is going on in France would be helpful.

- Prussia paid off more than 6000 credits worth of debt and nothing happened to their economy in terms of instability or market shocks? Hell even other factors aside, it's hardly confidence-instilling when your government dumps all its money into paying off the entire fucking thing in one go.

- There should probably be greater unrest in Russia. Virtually the entire peasant populous are still serfs, for crying out loud - the idea of democracy and modernisation is a little barmy.

- Also Swiss militarisation seems a little silly but whatever.

I uhh, didn't quite push so far forward in my turn I don't think - but the idea of emancipation (which was the primary driving force for my turn action) was not at all 'barmy'.

If I do recall, Nicholas even toyed with the idea of it - but was afraid of a bad case of noble revolts.

The turn report makes it look like I'm seizing the means of production and giving the land to the working class - I'm not. I was building a united front of liberal nobles.

Also seems like China is gonna be able to reform way too easily ala KomeBop, though I guess we'll see

Jackson eventually would sanction these expedtiosn anyways and Jacksons a known anti British type. So in playing him I have to assume he's extremely resentful of the British on jsuust aobut every term he can be. Lets be clear who andrew jackson was a jack ass. He often used this anger to his advantage too. Smart as he was he was more vindictive than me and twice and pissed off usually.
