Emergency Summit in Mosul

Iraqi Republic
And yet it does not end there - for the Saudi Arabian government has not only aided in the attempted overthrow of an Arab nation, but has done so in cooperation with one of the greatest antagonists of the Arab people, the Shah of Iran.
Brother states, we call on the Arab League to demand recompense from Saudi Arabia for these wrongs - and, failing such an outcome, to suspend indefinitely Saudi Arabian membership of the Arab League.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Now as for a recompense to the Arab League , we believe that it won't be necessary as our pledge to support Yemen would be worth many times that recompense , because the compensation that we will give to the fellow Arab States is that we will support the kingdom of Yemen and see that they are stable and growing economically. If that's isn't enough then , with all respect, we would have lost faith in the solidarity of our fellow Arab States.

Re: League of Arab States

Iraqi Republic
That every Arab nation save your own recognises the Yemen Arab Republic as the legitimate government speaks volumes to your isolation on this matter. Recompense is not for the League, sir, but for the Yemeni people - whose nation you and the Iranians have so wilfully cast back into conflict and destruction. That the war in Yemen has lasted as long as it has is due entirely to the presence of foreign arms and munitions - if it lasts longer, it shall now be entirely due to your actions once more opening Yemen to such.
Solidarity is a two-way street. The Arab world has stood united before in an end to foreign intervention in Yemen and support for the Republican government, and we have firm faith it will do so again. Lost faith? It is we who have lost faith in you. In your ability to act with reason and rationality. In your commitment to Arab unity and Arab goals. In your respect for your fellow Arab governments and the peaces and agreements brokered with them.
Make your bold comments all you wish. The truth can be read in black and white - Saudi Arabia has betrayed the Arab world.

Re: League of Arab States

Kingdom of Jordan
It is the stance of the Hashemite Monarchy that suspending Saudi Arabia for their interference in Yemen might be a step too far. The suspension of the Saudi government might lead to a dangerous precedent where our membership is depleted over time. We ask that the Saudi government stop any further involvement in the civil war. I propose that we instead focus upon the creation of a peaceful solution to a war that has divided the Arab People against each other. We therefore invite all interested parties to Amman for a peace conference.

Kingdom of Jordan
Having discussed this matter further with representatives from the Iraqi Republic in order to mediate a more moderate solution to this dispute, we have developed the following proposal for adoption by the Arab League:
- The Arab League will impose moderate sanctions against Saudi Arabia.
- The Arab League reaffirms its recognition of the Yemen Arab Republic as the legitimate government of North Yemen.
- The Arab League declares it will send troops as an intervention force to stabilise the YAR - providing aid, assistance and logistical support, without engaging in combat.
- We call upon both sides to engage in a ceasefire. The Arab League will seek a peaceful resolution that respects both sides of this conflict.

Re: League of Arab States
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won't accept the treaty unless some changes are made for starters the sanctions imposed by the league must be specified, then we shall see if we will accept them and only because we indeed broke a treaty but only for the sake of its Arabian brothers in Yemen. Second, we believe that the Kingdom Yemen is apt to be recognized as the legitimate government in North Yemen not the Republican rebels. Third, If the Arab League sends troops to Yemen then you would no better than the Egyptians in continuing the conflict, we don't believe in said intervention by any means and would rather have a neutral party like the Red Cross take care of giving aid, in which case we will support it. And last, we won't accept or support a cease-fire unless all parties involved agree that at the end of the conference the Kingdom of Yemen will remain as a nation state and its government fully recognized by the parties present.
I hope we make ourselves clear that we don't like this proposal and would prefer to discuss another one in the hopes of keeping more lives from being wasted in the civil war in Yemen. Any questions will be answered accordingly

Re: League of Arab States

Iraqi Republic
We urge Saudi Arabia to act with reason and work collaboratively with the Arab League towards a peaceful conclusion to the fighting in North Yemen - not pursuing this violent course which sets Riyadh alongside the Shah of Iran and against the Arab World as a whole. Your further refusal to accept a ceasefire is particularly troubling, and speaks of an unwillingness to compromise that shall only isolate your nation further. It is not too late to return to the fold and negotiate with your Arab brothers in peace and goodwill. Abandon this path of folly and aggression, we urge you.
