Britain sends warm greetings to our friends in Portugal, and reminds them of the terms of the terms of the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty of 1373, which has still been renewed as of recently. We would therefore be dismayed if Portugal were to abandon this after centuries of friendship, and implore Queen Maria and her government to think long and hard on the consequences of this sudden shift in policy.

we do whish that this does not break down relationships between our nations, we just believe that it is in everyone's best interests not to drag this war out any farther than it has to be

Para Sua Alteza Real, O Príncipe Regente D. João Maria José Francisco Xavier de Paula Luís António Domingos Rafael de Bragança

Vossa Excelência,

As Prime Minister of Portugal, it is my duty to assist and counsel your, her majesty your mother and other members of the Royal Family in matters of politics, after all it is one of my top priorities as the main advisor to the nation. Many members of the Portuguese government have recently been very weary of your choice to leave the Second Coalition and seek a separate peace with the French government, and I as your most loyal counselor feel as my duty to the nation to state my opinion on this matter.

Needless to say, I must admit that I do not look upon such a choice with favourable eyes. Our commitment to the war itself is another matter, however what I feel most concerned towards is in regards to the fact that leaving the Second Coalition in such a pivotal moment of European politics would greatly damage our relationship with our main ally, the United Kingdom.

Since the year of 1373 with the signing of the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty, Portugal and England have remained staunch allies, dedicated to each other's protection. Many times in our history the British have come to our aid during times of economic and political hardship, proving themselves to be a noble people of true values. To leave the Coalition would likely result in a breakdown of relations between our two kingdoms, a breakdown that will most certainly prove to be extremely harmful to our nation in the years to come.

Thus your majesty, I as your most loyal subject advise you to keep up the alliance with Great Britain by remaining a member of the Second Coalition. While the war with France and their allies might be hard on our nation, the results of a victorious coalition over the usurper Bonaparte will most likely reap great benefits for all the members of the victorious party, including Portugal. Thus, I advise you to reconsider on your choice.

Atenciosamente,

Luís Pinto de Sousa Coutinho

-A simple letter arrives to the King of Oman, written in green following ink, a
translator flanked by 4 armed guards reads off the 63 words quickly to his grace-

The Nation of Portugal Demands that the Nation of Oman return of the cities
in Kenya and Zanzibar [and the land around said cities as payment for lost profits]
among others to there rightful owners with in the year Anno Domini 1800. Failure
to do so will end badly for the Nation of Oman

Long Live the Crown!

-The group stares nervously at the king, waiting for him to give an answer-

Great Britain lets it be known that we support our ally Portugal's rights in the area to the benefits of trade and the profits that have been seized from them and their private commercial entities.
