So lads, we need to talk...
I love running 1800, and the ones who have followed my GM trajectory since the eregime days know well that this game was the most successful GM'ing experience I ever had, running for a few turns and proving to be an exciting game. However, I must admit to you guys, recently, I have kind of lost interest in this project, and I somewhat fear that (most of) the players are starting to lose their interest. Given that both of these are going on, I would like to ask: Would you guys like for me to run another game and end 1800?
If you guys would like to see another game, I have a few projects ready. I mentioned to a few of you that I would like to run a KR BOP in the future, and while that is one of my ambitions, as of this moment, the forum member who I would co-GM it with (Seren) is busy with irl stuff, thus being unable to run it with me. Since this project was envisioned by the both of us, it would be unfair for me to start it without him, so id rather run another of my projects for the while and at some later date, run KR with Seren. One of the ideas I had was to run a nation sim set in a slightly alternate version of 1920's Brazil, inspired by BulgariaSim and other nation sims that previously hosted in this forum of ours (I can explain the idea further if more of you show interest in it).
In regards to 1800, this is definetly not its death. If we were to end the game, id be definetly willing to run a Version 2 of it in the future, picking it up right where we left it, for it is a very interesting world that we built, and one that I am definetly interested in re-visiting in the future.
So what do you all think? Let me know. This input is vaulable to me, and while the end decision will be mine, id appreciate the input of ya'll

I want more 1800! But if other people don't want it, then that is okay too.

Re: The Future of 1800
We already talked pretty extensively about this, naturally, so you know my thoughts, but I'll put them on the record here.
I like this and would continue it if it were up to me, and I'm not sure people are losing interest either - though peacetime is always going to be harder for involvement than wartime, and I think any dip or perception of a dip is due to that. Similarly, not all that long has actually passed in game time.
However, there's no sense in running a game that you're not enjoying and that your heart isn't in, player demand or not - it just ends up being unpleasant for all parties concerned that way. So I'd say listen to what interests you and that you enjoy running, because that makes for better games for everybody.

I personally would love to keep playing but if you need a break and wanna run something else then go for it, I like the idea of picking back up where we ended.
And 1920's Brazil sounds really interesting.

Speaking from experience in past games I've gmed. Run a game you're interested in. It has a better shot at surviving for a long period of time and players will recognize, and take comfort in your commitment, thus putting more effort of their own into the game.

Re: The Future of 1800
After thinking it over, I decided that I will end 1800 and go on to run another of my projects. The game was a really good one guys, and I hope to see you all again in my next project. I will definetly re-visit this timeline at some point in the future, so stay on watch.
