ITALY DENIES PERFIDY OF THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS- WITHDRAWS
ROME: The Italian representative to the League of Nations has arrived home today, by orders of Il Duce. The move comes in the aftermath of an attempt by the League to condemn and sanction the Italian Empire for it's most recent triumph in Africa. Citing the hostility of the body and it's members to Italy and it's interests, Il Duce declared that Italy and her people would "no longer be shamed and spat upon for its rightful ambitions."
The proposed resolution, if passed, would require all participating nations to cease trade of wartime materials with Italy. While the move by the government does not prevent this possibility, it has been a strong showing of Italian spirit and determination, showing a refusal to back down in the face of forgein bullying.
No official comment has yet been received from any member or associate of the League, yet congratulations have already reached the nation from the Nationalist movement in Spain, itself openly and unabashedly attacked on the floor of the League, despite it's commitment to neutrality and non-intervention. Experts agree that any response lobbied will be ineffectual, and the common man shall not have to fear any change in his life as a result of this move.
