The Great Nation of Japan would be interested in returning to the negotiating tables when it comes to the London Naval treaty. We are turning to the table, however, on the pretense that older unequal treaties are modified so that the sovereign nation of Japan can be considered an equal among the European States and the USA.

The Great Nation of Japan would be interested in returning to the negotiating tables when it comes to the London Naval treaty. We are turning to the table, however, on the pretense that older unequal treaties are modified so that the sovereign nation of Japan can be considered an equal among the European States and the USA.

We are not opposed to the notion, but would like to note that while Japan must only defend its holdings in the territorial waters of Japan itself, Great Britain must guard our home islands, the Dominions, the Mandates, and all of the Colonies — in short, all of the Seven Seas must be guarded to ensure our territorial integrity, requiring substantial naval levels which Japan simply has no need for.
