Libyan Arab Republic

Awaiting the arrival of several new Arab states into our wondrous fraternity of peoples, from the soon-to-be decolonized Arab Gulf states, the LAR would like to nominate the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF MAURITANIA for membership in the League of Arab States, as they are sorely missed. We encourage our Moroccan brothers to look past their difficulties, both with the Mauritanians and with ourselves, and gladly invite King Hasan II or members of his family to Tripoli, for peaceful talks, if necessary. We hope that Saudi Arabia and other friends of Morocco will aid us in this.

Syria supports Mauritanian membership in the League of Arab States, and likewise calls upon King Faisal to support talks with the Moroccan government.

Furthermore, we hereby propose that, in response to the French betrayal of the Arab world and our Palestinian brothers, this body begin a boycott of French imports, and that all member nations of the Arab League commit themselves to a slowdown of petroleum exports to France until such a time as they cease their reckless and immoral aid to the Zionist entity.

((Time saving measure. If anyone wants a full breakdown of votes by each state, let me know and I'll edit this post.))

LEAGUE OF ARAB STATES

Following the attainment of the full number of votes and a majority being in favour, the ascension of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Arab League is recognised.

Further, the Arab League votes by majority in favour of the instatement of a 12 month boycott of French imports, and endorses individual national efforts to slow the export of petroleum products to France.

Syrian Arab Republic

Brothers, today we celebrate the independence of four more states from colonialism. Syria moves that we make haste in aiding their return to the united front of the Arabs, and extend offers of membership to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Ras al-Khaimah. God willing, we may yet provide assistance to the fractured sheikhdoms undoubtedly imposed on our sibling states by the British Empire.

We second this invitation to the Arab League. We would also like to propose the Sultanate of Oman as a full member of the League.

In addition, we invite the Republic of Chad and the Somali Democratic Republic to observer positions in the League. As fellow members of the Organisation of African Unity alongside Libya, both nations, we believe, know full and well the utility of friendship between neighbouring nations. As countries with significant Arabic-speaking populations, it is --- especially in the case of Chad, where we believe that President Tombalbaye's involvement in the Arab League would not only allow him to gain a greater position as a statesman of Northern Africa, but also to promote further the reconciliation process which he has initiated --- surely so that they would fit in well. The League is not a tool of supremacy and division, quite the opposite.

The Syrian attache was tired and emotional when omitting the inclusion of Oman, and welcomes them to the League of Arab States. We likewise support the addition of Chad and Somalia as observers.

We likewise hope and wish to welcome yet more Arab nations into our illustrious organization. We vote YES to the Syrian delegation's proposed expansion, as well as the Libyan representatives suggestions. May brotherhood and unity amongst our people continue to be fostered.
Not actually an ancap, thank God.

Ras al-Khaimah will gladly join the Arab League.

State of Qatar

Qatar will gladly join the Arab League.

Kingdom of Bahrain

Bahrain will gladly join the Arab League.

Oman will gladly join the Arab League.

Somali Democratic Republic

Somalia finds itself the recipient of a gracious invitation to observe the Arab League, and accepts - hoping to build closer ties and cooperation within the Arab world.

Republic of Chad

Although we are gladdened to receive this invitation, at this time we feel that the pursuit of closer and friendlier bilateral ties with our important Arab neighbours - notably Libya and Sudan - must come as a prerequisite to engagement with the Arab world as a whole. Nevertheless, we hope to continue to deepen our relations with all.
