New Caledonian Migration Agreement

• All still living "Algerians of the Pacific", people of French Algeria of predominantly Kabyle tribal origin who were deported to the Colony of New Caledonia (Nouvelle-Calédonie / Neukaledonien) for participating in a 1870–1871 uprising, and their children and grandchildren, shall be granted the right to, if they chose, become full citizens of France, and return to their ancestral homeland. They shall also remain free to stay as Imperial German subjects.

• A French representative will be sent from Algiers to Nouméa in the Colony of New Caledonia (Nouvelle-Calédonie / Neukaledonien), and set up a temporary office to allow for the processing of passport applications and travel permits for these Algerians.

• All "Algerians of the Pacific" interred at the "Arab Cemetery" in the town of Nessadiou, whose families specifically request so, shall be exhumed in following with Mohammedan protocols and reinterned in their home villages in French Algeria, at the expense of France.

• Any expenses incurred by the German authorities in the Colony of New Caledonia (Nouvelle-Calédonie / Neukaledonien) due to this process of repatriation will be compensated for by France.
